Unfortunately, the Church Fathers had no unanimous agreement, errors, contradictions, and lacked inspiration. I will now be rejecting the Biblical canon, the doctrine of the Trinity, eternal generation, and the divinity of Christ. Just can’t risk it with those Fathers.
Josh Barzon@JoshuaBarzon

Very good points here. I love and respect many of the early church fathers. But their teachings and writings must always be viewed as below scripture. Not equal with it.

@CredoMilesX @virtualhistoria The church is literally the people, not the building or any formed organization. And Jesus didn't start a "church", he ended it, and started a missionary movement.

@CredoMilesX @Dondramaivy That "?" is the problem. May I suggest that you attend a Bible believing Evangelical church (preferably non-denominational) for a few Sundays and maybe ? will turn into ah-hah

@CredoMilesX @RevIsaacWirtz You are stuck in a circular loop of retardation where you want to claim infallibility in theology while at the same time not owning up the utter cesspool that is the corruption in the catholic church.

@Aeon212 @starboltzz @Fritz_Imperial It's not about personal benefit. I'm not an individualist. It's about upholding the Social Kingship of Christ in bringing every people, every family, every "king of the earth" underneath his feet. Not only spiritual salvation, but redemption of all human life, even materially.

@LizzieMarbach Question Lizzie, when does that progressive sanctification become complete? Like when are you fully sanctified?

Protestants believe that we are made righteous as well. But we distinguish these things in different categories—justification vs sanctification. When it comes to our standing before God and our justification, we MUST be covered by the righteousness of Christ, otherwise we all stand guilty before Him. His standard is perfection. Only Christ meets that standard, so we must be clothed in His righteousness. But he doesn’t just cover us, he also washes us too. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, those who are justified are then progressively sanctified, learning to put away sin and become more righteous. But even in this process, we still require the righteousness of Christ to cover us, as we will continue to struggle with sin. And then, once we pass away and go into eternity, God completely removes sin from us and gives us our glorified bodies free from the fall. So we do not reject infused righteousness. We just also recognize the necessity of imputed righteousness when it comes to judgment and justification.
Jessica — Meek & Wild@swamthetiber25

I think one of the bigger differences between Catholicism/Orthodoxy and evangelicalism/protestantism. We aren’t righteous in the sight of God because He covers our sin in the way flowers might cover a heap of dung- as made popular in the common evangelical view of penal substitutionary atonement. We ARE made righteous, not just covered over.

The Bible consistently shows prayer directed to God alone. Never once are we told to ask departed saints for intercession. 1 Timothy 2:1 says we should make requests, prayers, and intercession for living people on earth. It says nothing about asking saints in heaven to pray for us.

@turtolsky_chud_ @Nekropsychotik The whore of Babylon was old Jerusalem, and Babylon was pagan Rome. The whore was dealt with by the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, and Babylon was dealt with by Christ conquering Rome and giving it to the Saints, as prophesied in Daniel 7.

If your church REALLY teaches that can't earn your salvation, then there is no need to be a member of your Roma paganismo cult in the first place Believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and shall be saved. Jesus does 100% of the finished work of the cross and the Holy Spirit seals you for salvation forever But nooooo, me love wafer god, me love Mary, me spam beads to Mary and kiss dead body god to get blessings ROMA PAGANISMOOOOOO
