but in an ideal world, yes, I'd prefer the energy of the music before me, to allow me to lift it higher if I'm headlining. That leads to the best nights in my experience.

I think there's more nuance to this conversation that needs to be taken into account.
I just checked your music and it's v high energy stuff. I wouldn't imagine there's 2 many artists that could energetically nerf your night. It's not like that for all styles of music tho

Openers should present themselves the way they want & play what they want Headliners should know what they’re booking & support the next generation’s. Those headliners were once openers & they didn’t become headliners by nerfing their sets
