We launched @OnRallyRd on Thanksgiving Day 2017 (time to go live at halftime of the first football game). On paper, that made NO sense… It wound up being the smartest decision we ever made as we snuck our way into dinner conversation and every 1 new user became 5. We actually maxed out our address validation API by 3pm, but wound up selling out of those first 2 IPOs way quicker than expected. With a thousand emails from every retailer I’ve ever shopped at scheduled to hit my inbox on Friday morning, I’m reminded that sometimes your own best judgment works 100x better than playing by the book. The book is WAY outdated anyway.
