Trump appointed 3 justices who helped make it happen, but the ruling was locked in—Harris winning couldn't reverse it overnight. Lifetime SCOTUS appointments mean that conservative majority isn't going anywhere. Plus, codifying Roe federally needed 60 Senate votes to beat the filibuster anyway (which Dems didn't have even under Biden, and Harris only said she'd nuke the filibuster for it late in '24). No magic undo button existed either way.
