After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision that Dying Light: The Beast will no longer be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Dying Light: The Beast was built from the ground up to take full advantage of current-generation hardware. Its open world, advanced visuals, and fluid combat and traversal all depend on processing power and memory that previous-generation consoles simply cannot provide. As development progressed, it became clear that bringing the game to those platforms would require compromises that would prevent us from delivering the experience we set out to create.
This was not a matter of choosing to leave those platforms behind. Rather, it reflected the technical realities of development and our commitment to delivering the best possible experience.
We know many of you were looking forward to playing on PS4 or Xbox One, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this causes. Anyone who was expecting to play on either platform will be eligible for a refund.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
@assassinscreed I hope this improves the draw distance on ps5 pro in performance mode to be more like the balanced mode as it's way to close to the player drawing grass etc at the moment if this was fixed performance mode would be perfect on pro this lets it down massively way to aggressive
Ahoy, mateys!
Our next Title Update arrives this Thursday, July 16.
It includes a fix for the cutscenes locked at 30FPS on PC, along with several other bug fixes and improvements.
We'll share the full patch notes tomorrow, so keep your spyglass close! 🏴☠️

This is appalling. Hatred against Muslims has no place in our country and I am determined to stamp it out.
Well done to the police and organisers for keeping everyone safe.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynched just hit over 100K concurrent players on Steam.
The old Black Flag formula is still undefeated. Pirate freedom, naval combat that actually feels good, and a story people still remember years later.
Black Flag proves it: give players what actually works instead of forcing the new hotness every single time.
Who else is back on the seas right now? 🏴☠️
@ByArnauD9@dr_hinfectos It looks incredible on ps5 pro to be honest for console in performance mode yes PC is a bit better if it's high end but it's a top experience on pro especially with PSSR 2.
Aunque ya no me queda nada por hacer en este juego, disfruto dándome paseos pensando "joder, qué juegazo se han cascao los de Ubisoft, por fin".
Es el primer juego al que le meto +100h en todo el 2026.
@SilverBlueEddie@WallyWLTN I agree I'm 22 hours in and says only 30% complete on main quests 😂 been doing lots of other things assasin contracts etc incredible looking and playing game.
THIS is what I've deeply missed from most modern games.
Just soak in that incredible audio.
The sounds of birds singing, the wind, the tents blowing, the trees moving and that BEAUTIFUL ambient music.
When games had CHARACTER.
@GTA6Junky@iv_sal1 Yeah certainly gone up I managed to pick mine up for £400 after selling my slim ps5 for £250 it's a whole different gravy on this game compared to base ps5 big difference especially if you also factor in PSSR 2 basically looks pinsharp 4k in all 3 modes.
@iv_sal1 Only on PC with a good graphics card. The graphics are blurry on base PS5, it’s even worse on balanced and performance mode. Decent game tho 7/10.
Assassins Creed Black Flag Resynced.
This remake is ticking all the boxes.
Evoking all the nostalgia from the original release whilst also being completely overhauled technically (and with QOL changes).
Loving it

First number is what you setup on the HDR Max Nits slider.
Second number is what the game actually outputs in peak brightness, when using my recommended settings in the picture.
700 = 600
1000 = 800
1300 = 1000
1700 = 1200
2300 = 1500
2800 = 1700
3800 = 2000
5100 = 2500
HDR analysis Doom; The Dark Ages on PC and PS5 Pro.
It's basically the same HDR implementation on PC and PS5, but path tracing on PC makes a difference to how shadows look, so I will suggest slightly different settings for PS5.
I don't like the standard in-game settings in picture 1. They lack overall brightness and impact.
PC:
On PC I instead suggest to use the vastly different settings I show in picture 2 and 3 for 1000 and 2000 nits TVs (use 3800 instead of 4000 nits).
Picture 4 shows the black levels with the settings in picture 2 and 3. It shows perfect black levels.
However the game uses a lot of fog, that effectively raises the black levels and lowers contrast in many areas. Its something I personally don't like used so much in games.
PS5:
PS5 outputs slightly less max luminance than PC, so instead of 3800 nits, I suggest 3500 nits for a 2000 nits TV. I still suggest 1300 nits for a 1000 nits TV.
PS5 have much brighter shadows than PC, because it does not use path tracing as PC does. Its shadows are simply not so correctly shadowed as on PC. That effectively decreases contrast on the PS5 version. I therefore suggest you increase contrast to 85 from 80 on PS5. It will darken the game a bit. If its too dark then just use 80 in contrast or something in-between.
I think the HDR looks great in this game. It's the first game where I have gotten HDR to look great using only in-game settings. So its the first I can remember, where I have not used reshade tools on PC.
It's also quite interesting to see how much difference path tracing does to the games visuals. Doom looks much more natural and realistic on PC, and its darker look gives the HDR more impact from the shadows being darker.
Reflections from light sources are also much more realistic on PC. Doom on PS5 simply looks very flat in comparison to the PC version. But it still looks great compared to other console games, of course.
@Assassins_UK Any chance you can improve draw distance to balanced level on performance mode on ps5 pro the draw distance seems very short! Other than that it looks great in that mode that one thing lets ot down a little.
Dash my Buttons... Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has already passed 2 million copies sold! 🏴☠️
