The casual fan will blame him, but technique is taught not to chase someone too far outside the shield rushing upfield so no lanes open up in the middle. Block is on the punter or special teams coordinator for going too far outside of shield.

@Absolute_Toast 87 actually did his job. Technique is taught from grade school level to not chase someone outside of you and rushing upfield so that you don’t open up a lane in the middle. Same goes for the wings on field goals That means the block is on the punter or ST coordinator.

Bowl games not affiliated with the CFB playoff are destined to become the Pro Bowl (extinct). Why are we acting like these young men should sign up for an exhibition game that puts them at risk and benefits EVERYONE but them? We don’t do that in the NFL, FCS, DII or DIII, but we draw the line with D1 FBS. If teams want to play, play if they don’t, why judge? Unless you have your own selfish motives…

What an electric atmosphere. Thanks to all the Nebraska fans who were so nice and welcoming. This was a bucket list item as a CFB fan and it lived up to the hype. One of the loudest stadiums I’ve ever been in ✌️
