So, let me get this straight: yesterday the Supreme Court ruled colleges CAN’T discriminate on the basis of race but today they ruled that a web designer CAN discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community? Sorry, but this Court is so freaking messed up.

@PlanetXGamesCo I was about to ask if this was a ripoff of Shocker. Recently rewatched a 35 print of that one. Has an absolutely bonkers final fight scene that reminds me of the opening sequence from Weird Al’s UHF.

Today’s #grindhousegold is DESTROYER! A prison riot erupts during a serial killer’s execution, creating a weird electric ghost monster out of former football pro Lyle Alzedo. Years later, filmmakers use the prison in a movie, but are attacked by swolt-up ghost Lyle. It’s insane.

While this isn’t #grindhousegold, it has the heart of it. MEET THE FEEBLES is the insane fever dream puppet movie from Peter Jackson (yes, THAT one) that explores the sleazy side of show business. I’ve often heard it called “The Muppets on crack”, which is apt. A must see, IMHO.

@PlanetXGamesCo Also the studio must’ve realized that because the trailer was essentially just that painted poster, slightly “animated.” Like a 1979’s version of a GIF.

@PlanetXGamesCo So this poster… as a small kid when the movie came out, this image was the #1 scariest thing I’d ever seen. Full stop. Fear stuck with me through theatrical, cable, home video. It was bad. Years later my mom watched & convinced me the in-movie beast was comparably laughable.

Today’s #grindhousegold is PROPHECY! A logging company's runoff waste mutates the environment, creating a giant cat-eyed killer salami bear-monster. What else do you need to know aside from that to watch this flick???!
