Promising news that Havertz's injury is not significant, but his replacement for the next week or so needs to offer more than Gyokeres has been up front
Jesus and Trossard have had mixed form, but their qualities may help Arsenal more right now

🚨📰 The real reason Antoine Griezmann dislikes Arsenal is intriguing ahead of the Atletico Madrid clash.
Antoine Griezmann’s dislike for Arsenal dates back 13 years to a pivotal incident.
Griezmann has been one of La Liga’s standout players for over a decade.
The Frenchman entered Real Sociedad’s youth academy as a teenager and later made over 200 appearances for the club.
While impressing there, Arsenal showed interest in signing him, and Griezmann was also keen on the move.
However, Arsène Wenger ultimately decided against the move, which left him frustrated.
A year later in 2014, Arsenal made another attempt to sign him, but Griezmann—still unimpressed by their earlier approach—rejected the move and instead joined Atlético Madrid.
Griezmann wrote in his autobiography, as per Sky Sports:
🗣️🎙️“I waited, I waited, and I kept waiting… when there was no news, Eric (Olhats, his agent) called Gilles Grimandi (Arsenal scout at the time), who said that the manager was still interested in me [and] to keep waiting,
“Finally, a few hours before the market closed, he let us know Arsenal would not make a move. I don’t like to be told something and for it not to happen.
“So when Eric told me later that the London club were interested again, I told him: ‘Forget it, after the blow they gave us’.” Via [afcnewsroom]
Gooners, do you think Griezmann could have become an Arsenal legend?

@taxspendlib That looks like what passes as steak in arbys in the states

@CasualSaturdays I’m not a neutral and I would love to see them there
English

@TelegraphDucker How do they make more money than Madrid and Barca with such a small fan base then ?
English

It’s not embarrassing. They’ve been to Wembley something like 33 times since Guardiola took over. Their fan base is predominantly a working class Manchester demographic. They don’t have endless pots of gold in their bank accounts. The issue is semi finals being played at Wembley
South Stand Pies@SouthStandPies
The most successful team in England in the last ten years and there were 10,000 empty Man City seats at Wembley. And that’s after they gave some to Southampton! Embarrassing. #MNCSOT

@Wanalyst007 My first thought was here we go again another world class player on a you tube reel . Wasn’t he world class last week or month
English

@michael54625373 @TheLawyerCSmith You’re right then we can have anybody washing money through football I’d like a Mexican drug cartel to buy a club
English

@TheLawyerCSmith The best case would be it takes so long it all just becomes irrelevant and we all just move on, the PL needs to stop with nonsense rules, #Newcastle have been financially hobbled and football fans have been robbed of a new chapter and rising standards for the PL
English

In what must be a growing nightmare for the whole PL, we still don't know the 115 result–and there's now the very awkward possibility of Man City being crowned champs at the same time as it's found guilty of serious rule breaches. So what COULD be going on?thelawyer.com/where-is-the-m…

Arteta and his coaching staff should be moving heaven and earth to preserve his fitness and health over the next month. He’s is undeniably essential to any success we are dreaming of… this is a let off if it holds.

There is cautious optimism around the injury of Kai Havertz. Timeline yet to be determined but initial fears of it being really serious have been alleviated. Trying to be as careful as I can with injury news and how fast it can change but thought the fanbase could do with this..

@APresserV2 That he didn’t have the intelligence to see through the headline and what was actually said
