I queued up for over an hour tonight to get the last ever £3 fish supper from the cheapest chippy in the UK before the prices go up Stan and his family have been feeding the local community for over 20 years, they charge £3 for haddock and chips, and a sauce, under a third of the UK average price of £10. The shop is in one of the most deprived areas of the town, where many struggle to put food on the table His prices mean people eat a meal at a price they can afford The price of fish has risen dramatically over the last few weeks going from around £1.50 per kilo to £3.70 Mathews chippy prides itself on serving the community they supply me for FREE all my meals I provide to the homeless in my town they are a credit to the community and a jewel in our crown they put the great into Grimsby but they're too struggling with the costs of everything rising Tonight saw me served the last ever £3 fish supper before prices rise on Tuesday to £3.50, please show me a meal that can match this in the UK for £3.50 right on your doorstep in the heart of your community

@PeterMcCormack @sophielouisecc Home ownership isn't a right, and it's only a recent aspect of British life. They shouldn't muss out on having a home, and that's the government's responsibility, not an element of sector of the community. Many European societies function well on a rental model.

There is a potential constitutional time bomb being set by the government... If you create regional "cultural ecosystems" you no longer have a national identity or loyalty; you have a "conglomeration" waiting for a crisis to pull it apart. But this is exactly what the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill (2026) will do. The Bill represents a fundamental shift in the UK’s constitutional architecture, specifically through the introduction of "Culture" as an eighth statutory area of competence for regional mayors. By granting a "legislatively backed mandate" for "cultural ecosystems", the Bill will potentially enable the establishment of diverse cultural within mayoral boundaries without any framework or requirement to ensure loyalty to the nation as a whole. It thereby facilitates sectarianism and threatens the social cohesion that has traditionally bound the United Kingdom together. The bottom line is that the Bill is fundamentally incompatible with national identity, loyalty and cohesion. It therefore subverts national resilience and must be struck out before it is enacted. - Key dates: - 13th April, further HoL Report session - 21st April to the HoC for consideration - May 2026, expected to receive Royal Assent Cohesion cannot be devolved.

If you're looking for a last minute Easter getaway, there's only one option. Great Yarmouth. Fantastic for children, amazing scenery and plenty to do for the family. It's like going back in time a couple of decades. In a VERY good way. I love it. Proper England.

A very fair piece in the Daily Mail today discussing Restore... This extract sums our party up quite well, really. "Now, judging by Restore's membership figures, some believe they may have a new option in a party pledging the mass deportation of every illegal migrant, stripping benefits from healthy Britons who refuse to work as well as from non-British nationals, abolishing inheritance tax and even proposing a referendum on the death penalty." I'd like to make one correction in this paragraph though... "This week, Lowe reported that Restore, after less than two months, was already Britain's fourth-largest party, with 123,000 members - surpassing the Tories on 113,000, and more than double Lib Dems membership." The Restore Britain membership is now well over 125,000. Have a great Saturday!

@RupertLowe10 Local authorities provided homes back then, lowering demand, keeping prices down...also, folk did not relocate from a booming south east to push up prices in outside rural areas. .Simlly supply & demand.

Owning a home is FAR more difficult for young men and women today than it was for my generation. That’s just a fact. Average earnings have not kept pace with average house prices - to suggest otherwise is ignorant. The gap has grown at an astronomical rate. The young have every right to feel pissed off, I’m angry for them. And I detest this patronising attitude of people my age that we just happened to manage it all so much better through ‘common sense’ and fewer avocados. There are millions of young Brits who work hard, take care of their money and dedicate themselves - and yes, they are struggling to find a proper home. They have done nothing wrong. In fact, they’ve done everything right but the system still failed them. I am ensuring that there is a political party to finally represent them - Restore Britain is that party. A party that supports the aspirational and committed young British men and women. Scrapping interest on student loans. Stripping back the power of empire-building planning bureaucrats who cruelly prevent sensible house-building in fair locations. Crushing the overbearing regulations that make building anything so very cumbersome. Overhauling leasehold rules which trap owners with mutating service charges. Ending the vindictive war on landlords to make sustainably renting a proper option. Slashing tax to hand back financial control. Entirely abolishing stamp duty for Brits. Because we will not tinker with the status quo, we will not conserve it, we will not reform it. We will fundamentally change how this country operates. The model must break. I will make you one promise. Restore Britain will break it.

National Identity as a Non-Devolvable Asset, like the nuclear deterrent or the currency. Therefore you cannot have "eleven different British cultural identities" and still have a United Kingdom - if you devolve the definition of cultural identity, as the Devolution Bill 2026 does, you have effectively ended the Unitary State. With that in mind, would you support the repeal of laws that grant independent, autonomous authority to local levels to support and promote whatever cultural they want?
Henry Bolton OBE 🇬🇧@_HenryBolton

The English Devolution Bill 2026 grants Mayors etc with a legally mandated autonomy to support culture in pretty much whichever way they want. This will create regional divergence and variations which will inevitably be shaped by immigrant cultures. This is a National Security problem because it fragments social cohesion, national unity and British identity. This amounts to national fragmentation, embedded in law. I believe national Identity and social cohesion are indivisible, and that national identity and loyalty are national security assets. Devolving and fragmenting identity is therefore subversive and a national security disaster in the making.

To the pensioners who were howling at me discussing scrapping the triple lock last night I have just two things to say: Shouldn't you be nicer considering that my salary pays your pension? The state pension is a safety net, not a way of life. You've had years to save privately.
