Thameslink will be taken over by govt in coming weeks. Shortly after service cuts commence. It includes stations in areas of major housing growth. Just one direct train per hour from north Kent stations to the Elizabeth line will result. fromthemurkydepths.co.uk/2026/05/24/tha…

Supermarkets have profit margins of between just 2% and 4%. Price caps have a long history of producing shortages, weaker supply and many empty shelves. Britain went down that path in the 1970s - it didn't end particularly well...

'Stop waiting for the world to come to you. Go and seize the world!' Mike Parry goes head to head with Political Commentator for Young Voices UK, Ted Newson, over the work ethic amongst Britain's younger generation.

OH DEAR Rachel Reeves heckled by white van man as she visits a petrol station. “Get Starmer out! Get Labour out! You’re ruining the country! Are you going to arrest me for having an England flag? Get Farage in!” She lectures the guy about “manners”

It's a fantastic day for residents in Peckham! The Planning Inspector has ruled against Berkley Homes a tiny amount of affordable homes as possible in the heart of Peckham. Building affordable homes, not luxury flats, is the only way we can tackle the housing crisis.

New figures show British billionaire wealth is UP again. It’s more than DOUBLED since 2010. ▪️2010: £250bn ▪️2026: £670bn While millions struggle to get by, the billionaire class keeps taking more and more. Tax extreme wealth now!

Those who wrote, voted for, and supported the Online Safety Act won't have imagined it would lead to this. But that's because they misunderstand how seriously platforms take threats of billion pound fines, or executive imprisonment. In any wavering case, they will now *always* fall on the side of censorship. The risk of leaning on the side of free speech is just too great. This is what regulators never understand about their rules. Market participants are overwhelmingly likely to *over-interpret* them, because compliance costs are high. No one can afford to have a lawyer look at every single case. So the default becomes to block. I see this every day with how we have to respond to election period broadcasting restrictions. But it's pervasive across the entire economy. It's a feature of regulation, not a bug.
