@wesstreeting Dear Mr Streething, I fucked off to Canada after CCT because the NHS you so proudly run imposed a hiring freeze and I couldn’t get a job. Now I’m back doing a bit of locum work and earning serious coin during the strikes. Thanks for pissing off another generation of doctors.

Another graph showing doctors have suffered one of the steepest real terms pay cuts in both public and private sector. The next workforce plan must seriously consider how pay is being set if it truly wants a sustainable and driven workforce. Pay for NHS staff must be restored.

@Smyth_Chris LMFAO, the computers still take 10 mins to switch on and we run apps that rely on internet explorer. But yeah, sure, AI.

@wesstreeting You've made a mess of the health service and covered it up with dodgy waiting list graphs (your graph is on the left, the y axis corrected graph is on the right). You aren't fit to be PM.

The waiting lists have barely come down (first image is @wesstreeting dodgy graph, the second one has the y axis corrected). Over 6 million still on waiting lists, and that's despite patients being removed without being seen. Is this the sort of PM anyone wants?

The NHS results published today speak to the hard graft that you’ve done to motivate Ministers, officials and our brilliant NHS staff. You should be hugely proud of your record in government. Thanks for your service to our country, Wes.

Senior doctors in the NHS in England will begin voting today on whether to take strike action later this year. Dr Shanu Datta from the British Medical Association told #BBCBreakfast their pay has been 'eroded since 2008' and they want more time for non-surgical tasks bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cp…

@docanonx @d_magpie @Frank9478968518 @BBCBreakfast My point is quite specific. Employees are entitled to their contracted pay on day one. Future pay rises are at the employer’s discretion unless contractually guaranteed. That is how employment works in most industries. You will understand this when you have your first job.

@docanonx @d_magpie @Frank9478968518 @BBCBreakfast Those who graduated in 2008 should be entitled to the nominal pay at 2008 levels. No-one, in any industry, is typically guaranteed inflation linked pay, or pay linked to the economy, or other industries. This is pretty much universal (unless embedded in a contract, obviously)

@BBCBreakfast The BMA has cherry-picked using 2008 as a baseline, as they enjoyed massive pay rises through the 90s and 00s. Using almost any other year as the baseline, the argument disappears. BBC - verify this data!
