@DocCRBailey It gives a lot more information if you start 30 sec earlier with a “spy around the corner” technique. You can see the cords opening, if you dont see cords, quickly change blade size or shape

During URSI (Ultra Rapid Sequence Intubation) use the videolaryngoscope as a “spy around the corner” and see when the cords are opening 🎥 Important points: 1. insert the blade very gently, dont cause vomiting !) 2. this works well with high dose rocuronium, a bit more challenging with sux due to muscle depolarisation and twitching 3. use lubricating gel to lubricate the innercurve of the blade 4. place the patient in head-up position 5. have suction ready 👉intubation procedure can start after 30 seconds #speedygonzalez @jducanto @cliffreid @DaveOlvera1 @airwayGladiator @EMManchester @EM_RESUS
