The Legacy Cup, a new online SF6 tournament in Japan was announced yesterday - players must be >40 years old to register and compete. Originally planned to cap at 128 entries, it exceeded that in half a day. The cap was raised to 256, and that was also exceeded - currently sitting at 274 entries with standby! The MVP will be gifted a blood pressure monitor.

The Japanese representatives for the 2026 Asian Games later in the year will be decided tonight. Finalists: SF6: Sahara, Momochi, Hinao, Higuchi. T8: Nobi, PINYA, Keisuke, Chikurin. KOFXV: mok, Score, Chawan, Harumy. One player from each title will be selected, stream link is in the quoted tweet (Stage A). For those who don't know, Asian Games is a big sports event organized by the Olympic Council of Asia hosted every 4 years. The 3 fighting games mentioned above were selected as "Competitive Martial Arts" and will be treated as a single tournament between teams of different countries.
