We have a serious problem with waiting times in BC for patients who need urgent cardiac care. Long term patient I diagnosed with multi-vessel coronary disease. Young. Off work because of it. Needs urgent bypass surgery. This was back in February. Constant delays. No staff. Worsening. Ultimately now admitted because of the delays to hospital. His surgery should have been done in March. It’s October. This is dangerous and puts his life at significant risk not to mention the mental anguish. Delays like this are not just an inconvenience.
