i wonder if ordinals retards understand this they are basically considered insufferable / complete morons by every other collector one of my goals with taproot wizards was to show collectors across all chains that there’s value in having some bitcoin permanence in their collections but the purists took over and their message is “haha if you own any ethereum nfts you’re an idiot” or “lol they’re just AWS pointers” i don’t understand where this pretentiousness comes from, almost everything we did well in ordinals we learned from ethereum nft communities. ethereum-natives were the biggest supporters of ordinals early on. everything we tried to do “differently”, like runes for example, was a complete and utter failure. we didn’t earn any sort of bragging rights no one wants to see ordinals bagholders who are down bad 99% trolling ethereum nft communities with dumb fake screenshots of broken opensea pages (it wasn’t even a real screenshot) all of the most influential nft communities are on ethereum. period. we have a lot to learn from these guys. making fun of them all day long just makes you look like an idiot and then you think begging opensea to add ordinals support will help somehow? generally incredibly disappointed in the majority of this ecosystem. it’s not everyone btw, i think the nodemonkes community sticks out as one that continually tries new things and focuses on growth instead of unearned paternalism i hope more of the sane creators and collectors will start speaking up and show an alternative to this behavior. bitcoin DOES offer unique benefits for digital art and i do think it should have a share of the digital art pie but most of the loud voices are just insufferable retards
