I NEED to see @TomPelphrey in more roles. Every second of his screen time on #Ozarkseason3 was brilliant. So very talented and clearly well studied on the role. Heartwrenching! #emmy
@UKAnesth I think this would be interesting to apply to patients who have chronic pain long after stimulus is removed. Patients with allodynia, crps, phantom limb etc
@UKAnesth close-call HPDs are often hidden out of fear or embarrassment. This eliminates the chance to learn and improve from these errors. An anonymous way to share errors so that colleagues could provide feedback might be helpful, but at the expense of the professionalism of disclosure.
@UKAnesth Despite studying the algorithm and knowing the steps maybe the stress of a true emergency causes panic and forgetfulness. Should practice these more in sim.
@UKAnesth A couple key takeaways for me, 2000-2012 increased number of claims in emergency cases: I wonder if there was pressure to forgo adequate preoxygenation? Also 1/3 failed to attempt supraglotic airway in can't oxygenate situations
