I dunno if I agree with this. To me, Eggman is unchecked ambition. He’s a selfish asshole, sure. But, I don’t think he’s supposed to “represent humanity’s evil” or whatever. Lol

@scratchycatty @livingdoubt54 humanizing Eggman is a mistake, he's meant to represent all the evil and bad things about humanity he's meant to be mostly static as a character just like Sonic, making him a father figure would be the equivalent of making Sonic have a home, to put an example

I’m very confused about the backlash towards this game being canon because it literally doesn’t hurt anything and it’s just a fun way to set this in the world of Sonic It’s literally just the characters playing with toys there’s no reason for it NOT to be set in canon lol

I still stand on this like how is that the Mario Galaxy movie is bringing back actual deep cut characters and yet SEGA is struggling to make Sticks the Badger canon? Even MKW brought back R.O.B, albeit as a bike, but he still came back. How on Earth do you excuse that?
