❤️🌍✝️🩸⬆️👑 The atonement is not limited in scope or nature, but God has conditioned its application on faith. I 💖 John 6:44 - Acts 2:39 - Romans 8:28-30

@1984_nate That's not true and you know it. The argument that the reformed believe God doesn't want to save everyone is an argument made against the doctrine of Limited Atonement. I didn't add to the claim, I understood it properly.

Fact is, Grok just tells you what it thinks you want to hear. Grok told me there were 168 days until Christmas. It's ok to use it to spot logical flaws, but don't use it thinking it's going to create correct arguments. If you do, it's going to make you look dumb.

I asked Grok why the two answers were different and it basically said, "When Mr. Berean asked it, I answered it using inferences not explicitly stated in scripture but synthesized from later Reformed views." Whoops.

@Mr_BereaN @1Heathbar @LaymansSeminary @PProvisionalist For example, if you ask an LLM about regeneration, a term that only occurs once in the NT in a soteriological sense, but is used constantly by reformed writers, the answer is going to have a reformed bias, no matter how much you ask it not it. It literally doesn’t know better.

@DoctrinalPossum I'm not sure why you expected to get sense from someone who capitalises the first letter of every word in their communication with you...

@1984_nate I'm not in the business of questioning people's intelligence. Sometimes, the smarter a person is, the better they are at self-deception.

@DoctrinalPossum The only way I can think that this person can actually think he's being a good Berean is that he's been deceived to think so. It has to be a spiritual blindness. No one is this unintelligent, right?

Romans 7 is awkward for Libertarian Free Will. Paul isn’t saying, “I had equal power to choose good or evil. He’s saying, “I keep doing what I don’t want.” That’s not libertarian freedom. That’s not neutrality. That’s conflict under a new master.

@RisingDisciples Jonah: “I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.” Mercy isn’t just something God wills himself to show. It’s part of his glory - the revelation of his character. It’s who he is.

God is GOD. He can do as he pleases, but if he does as Calvinism insists that he does, then he massively violates the standards that he gives to us mere mortals to uphold. Clever, seemingly wise sound bites are no Escape from this truth and reality.

“No one He sets His love on is lost.” People save others, even die doing it, without personally loving them. You don’t need to ❤️ someone to save them. But if you do ❤️ someone and desire a relationship with them, you must allow them to reciprocate… or not. That’s true ❤️.

It is a relationship and that takes two individuals. Just like in a marriage, one individual can pour himself out 110% but if the other individual walks off or rejects the overtures, the relationship fails, and they each go their own way. This is very simple to understand. God has poured himself out 100% and mankind is free to embrace and accept or reject and walk away. Mankind"s decision in no way affects the power of God's love.

You can’t consistently say “God never fails” and then turn around and make salvation ultimately hinge on the will of man. If the decisive factor is human choice, then God’s purpose in saving can be resisted, overturned, or left waiting on man. That doesn’t sound like the God who works all things according to the counsel of His will, it sounds like a God who hopes. If He intends to save but can be thwarted by man’s decision, then His will is subjected to man’s will, but if salvation flows from His eternal purpose, then no one He sets His love on is lost and no part of redemption hangs by the fragile thread of human ability. A God who truly never fails is a God whose saving purpose actually accomplishes what He intends
