@just_keep_read I believe in Jesus because I am ashamed of me. But since I am in Jesus, I don't need to live in my shame. So Blue can heap it on me all he wants and Jesus will wash it away.

@RevReads289 Not in the river. In the warmth. In case there was any confusion on that point. 😆

Shocking: The brutal reality of what happens when boys are deprived of critical and unfettered access to electronic entertainment. I’m literally shaking.

Provisionist Perspective 🩸🌍
If Romans 7 is “awkward” for LFW, it’s even MORE awkward for compatibilists who believe we always do what we want to do. “For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.” —Romans 7:15

@ProvisionistP Turns out if the Lord doesn’t save you you’re a SLAVE to sin. If only this theme was demonstrated through the entirety of scripture

@RevReads289 God’s plan is that Christ died for all. And his plan is to save those who believe [1 Cor 1:21]. Mission accomplished.

@rmsmin It is not a failure to reach your hand out in love and to have the person in need reject you. It is a failure to never reach out in love.

@RevReads289 If God wants to save everyone, is trying to save everyone, and won't save everyone, how is it not a failure?

Here is my latest book review. This helpful book by @crossway is a wonderful voice to encourage God's people to walk in faithfulness in a world that pulls down into faithlessness. youtu.be/KniFFfgbzG4

This is Jesus drawing every single person in the world who hears these words. If you are weary with life's labor, know that Jesus is drawing and calling you to His rest. Believe in Him to taste and see that He is good.
Gabriel Hughes@Pastor_Gabe

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. —Mathew 11:28-30

One of the most wonderful things about Jesus is that He came to earth with all the power in the universe at His finger tips but He used it to cleanse lepers, give sight to blind, and didn't use it to enrich Himself. There is glory in humility and self sacrifice.

@GoodCheerInPF I agree with that. I don't blame boomers in general but I blame progressives who want to use the government to make lives more secure for themselves. You will find Xers, Millennials, and Gen Z who all support that garbage.

@RevReads289 Prop 13 in Ca, pensions vs 401k, Had low college tuition prices then became administrators that lobbied against college alternatives. Entry level jobs required nothing for them now require 3-5 years education. It’s an endless list. Benefited from open systems then closed them.

People need to stop making these complaints. It makes them sound historically ignorant. Yes, Gen Z has struggles which may be more difficult than the Millennials, X, and Boomers, but all post WWII generations have it exponentially easier than what came before. We all struggle.
Bitcoin Teddy@Bitcoin_Teddy

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

@RevReads289 Boomers had the most opportunity and it’s not even close then they started gate keeping like crazy. It’s really not a hot take.

@RevReads289 Yes. Here’s my take, I know we need to look at timelines and history to get an accurate view of where we are in the present. However, dividing up generations into categories like X, Mills, Z etc just divides society. It causes resentment between parents/children/Grands.
