🐶🧬 New in GeroScience! In this study, Eric R. Foreman and the @DogAgingProject Consortium examined how multimorbidity influences survival in companion dogs. Using data from more than 50,000 dogs, the authors demonstrate that, as in humans, the accumulation of multiple chronic conditions is strongly associated with an increased risk of mortality. Their findings further establish companion dogs as a valuable translational model for understanding multimorbidity, aging, and longevity.
