ICE agents roaming airports & ransacking travelers with violent lawless tactics—replicating practices that have appalled Americans. Unacceptable morally, legally, politically. A sickening specter. reuters.com/world/us/trump…

Thank you to the National Urban League for honoring me with the 2026 Congressional Leadership in Education Award. I share in their commitment to ensuring children are equipped for college, work, and life- and remain encouraged by their efforts to disrupt educational disparities for underserved students.

The utterly insane and moral abomination of a man who currently serves as president of the US is now openly celebrating the death of Robert Mueller, the man who investigated Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

I expect every Republican who was outraged at people for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death to immediately condemn Trump for saying “I’m glad he’s dead” about Robert Mueller. This is disgusting.

🚨BREAKING: An ICE/Border Patrol agent illegally detained a U.S. citizen… then threatened to arrest a 17-year-old if he didn’t reveal the location of his sister. This happened in Marathon, Florida. The agent involved, Bruno Cabral, is already known locally for incidents involving the assault of a teenager riding his bike, and for unlawfully detaining U.S. citizens. And once again… he’s proving he doesn’t care about the Constitution. Cabral pulls over a vehicle driven by a U.S. citizen, who had two toddlers and a 17-year-old, with legal status, in the car. There was no crime committed, or probable cause… But that didn’t matter, and Cabral immediately begins interrogating the driver about the location of his sister. When the driver refuses to answer, the agent moves to questioning the legal status of the teenager. He then illegally detains the 17-year-old, and searches him, in an attempt to force information out of the driver. When the driver still refused to give him the information he wanted, Cabral started claiming the driver might be impaired, using it as an excuse to continue detaining him. But, that claim collapsed when the driver was later tested and nothing was found in his system. Which means the supposed “impairment” was just another excuse to justify an illegal detention. This is exactly the pattern we keep seeing… Pull people over without probable cause, detain them anyway, threaten family members, use children as bait, and invent a new reason after the fact. And they keep doing it because no one is holding them accountable. Because when federal agents start acting like the Constitution is optional… everyone’s rights are in danger.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: "It's just wrong to make Americans think that every single Palestinian in Gaza was a member of Hamas. That's just not true. There were tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians murdered by these bombs that were dropped on them. And now the same thing is happening in Lebanon."

Well, here’s a shocker (insert sarcasm emoji), Trump has been absolutely awful to our allies in Europe and Canada, imposing, tariffs, and being disrespectful and threatening, and now he needs their help, and they say no thanks.

⚡️ Ah yes… the “keep Connecticut energy in Connecticut” plan. Sounds great in a campaign video. Unfortunately, that’s not how the electric grid, the law, or physics works. A few inconvenient facts: 1️⃣ Connecticut doesn’t run its own grid. The power system for six states is managed by ISO New England. Electricity from power plants across the region goes into one shared market and flows wherever demand is highest. Once power hits the grid, it’s part of the regional system, not “Connecticut’s electricity.” 2️⃣ Governors don’t set wholesale electricity prices. Those prices are regulated at the federal level by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. A state can’t just decide to charge Massachusetts or Rhode Island “a hell of a lot more.” That would get shut down instantly. 3️⃣ Electricity doesn’t obey state borders. Power flows based on grid physics and reliability needs. You can’t put a “Welcome to Connecticut” sign on a transmission line and make electrons stop there. 4️⃣ The Constitution gets in the way. States generally can’t discriminate against interstate commerce. Trying to charge other states more for energy would almost certainly violate the Dormant Commerce Clause. 5️⃣ Connecticut actually imports power. A significant portion of the electricity used here comes from other states in the New England grid. If we tried to wall off energy markets, we’d likely drive our own prices even higher. What a governor CAN do: • Support building more generation in CT • Push energy procurement policies • Work with regulators like Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority • Coordinate with other New England states What they can’t do is turn the Connecticut border into a force field for electricity. Campaign slogans are easy. Running a regional power grid is a little more complicated than yelling “KEEP THE LIGHTS HERE.” 🔌😅
