Pro-separation billboard in Alberta town remains up after removal deadline globalnews.ca/news/11904152/…

Something is deeply broken when seniors are spending their retirement in tents and coffee shops. One senior says they can't find a room under $1,500 a month. Another is living outside without basic privacy or the ability to bathe. In B.C., 94% of seniors on the affordable housing waitlist didn't get a space last year. After a lifetime of working and paying taxes, this is how some Canadians are spending their final years. At what point do we admit the cost of living crisis has become a humanitarian crisis?

Mark Carney told Canadians to judge his government by the prices at the grocery store. Here’s the current report card. This pack of four rib grilling steaks from Costco in Kelowna just cost $142.56. $48.99 per kilogram. Even buying in bulk at the store famous for stretching a dollar, a basic BBQ pack now runs almost a full day’s gross pay for someone earning minimum wage in British Columbia. $18.25 an hour. Eight hours. $146 before taxes. This isn’t some fancy cut. This is what used to be normal for a long weekend with the family. Meat prices have been climbing hard, with forecasts showing more increases ahead. Canadians aren’t imagining the squeeze at the meat counter — it’s measurable, it’s ongoing, and it’s hitting everyday families. The issue isn’t “just buy something cheaper.” The issue is that more and more people are walking away from things they could comfortably afford a year ago. If grocery prices are the scorecard Carney set for himself, then the verdict is already clear. This government is failing its own test. #cdnpoli #CarneyFail #GroceryPrices

This Filipino Albertan supports Alberta independence because he recognizes what is happening in Canada. He came here in 1994. He loved Canada. He raised the Canadian flag proudly. But now he says this is not the same country anymore. Government overreach. Fear of speaking openly. Rising costs. Politicians who take more and give less back to the people. Many immigrants came to Canada because they wanted freedom, opportunity, and honest government. When they start warning us that Canada is beginning to look like the places they left, we should listen. Alberta independence is about recognizing the direction Canada is going and choosing a better future before it is too late. I support Alberta independence.

🚨BREAKING: A new independent national poll shows Alberta independence support has surged to 40.9%. The sample was smaller, but unlike the major polling firms, this wasn’t another narrative-driven poll designed to demoralize the movement.

I'm looking forward to sometime in August when they appoint Chrystia Freeland as "Special Rapporteur to Silence Alberta" as their last-minute gift to Albertans.

After some delay I am back to report the independence question results. Alberta is uncomfortably tight.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canadians will be forced to be part of "the next world order" that will emerge from Europe. This will be a unilateral decision that will not ask Canadians for their input. "Canada will be part of that effort."
