Semach is one of Monkey World’s most unforgettable chimpanzees, instantly recognisable thanks to his enormous ears! He was smuggled into Israel for the illegal pet trade and was rescued in 1996 after Israeli authorities confiscated him from the home of a drug addict. Thankfully, Semach was given a second chance and found a safe home here at Monkey World. Today, Semach is known for his playful nature and love of clowning around. Whether he’s showing off, playing games, or causing mischief, he always keeps everyone entertained ❤️

Slow loris Nora is an early riser- she is often up before the lights switch off in her bedroom. Nora was rescued from the illegal wildlife trade in Lebanon, with the help of charity Animals Lebanon. She now lives with our other loris in their moonlit enclosure, which simulates night during the day, so the loris are active and awake when we can monitor them. 📷 : PCS Hannah
