@UtdArts1 Man U did pretty well in the palace game when Cunha went theatrically down after the slightest of touches and lacroix was sent off. If Amad’s dive was a pen then so was Maguires push on Eva in the 1st half

🗣️ When Amad is wrestled to the ground and VAR doesn't act, and then a near identical incident at the other end results in a red card and a penalty within minutes of each other in the same game, you are watching the accumulated product of a system that doesn’t have the training, standards, or the accountability to consistently get the most important decisions right. It’s time for the Premier League to end the PGMOL farce, and create its own officiating body. We don’t need another 25 years of evidence to prove that the current model is not working. #MUFC #PGMOL #VAR

Manchester United are to make a formal complaint to the head of referees at PGMO, claiming they should have been awarded a second penalty in the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last night 🚨

@paulenglish1961 Bloody hell mate. In every game there are dubious decisions. Much more dubious than that one. Maguire pushed Eva in the 1st half which could have been a pen. Move on

I’ve seen last nights Amad penalty decision so many times over the last 24 hours and I’m convinced VAR didn’t get involved last night because they didn’t want to embarrass Atwell who would have needed to both disallow a goal and give a penalty to the away team. It was never going to happen because these guys have no morals. VAR is broken. I’ve read they didn’t want to get involved because of the on field decision. Ask ETH about that in his last game at West Ham United. It’s a complete joke. #MUFC #UTFR #GGMU #ManUnited #ManchesterUnited #ManUtd

Officiating did cost us a win but beyond that we created next to nothing from open play again against a terrible Bournemouth side. Sesko needs to start because that front 3 doesn't work

MUFC set to make formal complaint today to PGMOL after failure to award a second penalty in last night’s game. When Amad wrestled to ground with no attempt to play the ball. Club officials furious at another costly VAR blunder as I’ve said on TOTD.

Wilson captainers may have lost in the end but a -4 diff I’ll take that all day! Fun/bravery isn’t always rewarded but it sure makes FPL feel a whole more refreshing! #FPL

Didn’t watch last night but it’s funny that they care when it’s them. Every club in the league can probably go back and find one or more penalties that Man Utd shouldn’t have had. Cry us a river.

To be fair to United, that’s the best they’ve played against us across the last 3 seasons. They must be chuffed about that at least.

Manchester United Draw Against Bournemouth It was a hard fought draw against Bournemouth. To be honest, they did not just rely on their eleven players to get the result, the referee also played a part in making that draw possible for them. United went into this game with one clear aim, to take all three points against a very good Bournemouth side. It was never going to be an easy fixture, but with confidence now flowing through this United team, every draw feels like a loss. Even the players seem to share that same mentality. United’s goals came through Bruno Fernandes. The first was from the penalty spot after Cunha was fouled in the box. The second came from a corner taken by Bruno, which deflected off a Bournemouth defender and found its way in. Bournemouth responded well. Their first goal came from open play, a well placed effort into the bottom left corner that Lammens could not keep out. Their second came from the penalty spot after Maguire was judged to have fouled the Bournemouth striker, denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. He was shown a red card, and United had to play the rest of the game with ten men. Even so, this rejuvenated United side managed to hold on to the 2 2 scoreline, despite nine additional minutes being played after the ninety. In the end, a point is better than none. We take it and move on to the next one after the international break.

@outside04687058 @FabrizioRomano I thought Lacroix sending off when Cunha over exaggerated his dive was a lot softer than maguire who clearly puts his hands out to push Eva last night. Both had the same outcome. Man U supporters conveniently forget things when it goes for them and make a big fuss when it doesn’t

@FabrizioRomano When Amad gets a two-handed grab in the box,the ruling is "Contact not sufficient". Unfortunately when Maguire does the exact same thing, the Red card and a penalty are awarded. Rules should be fair and consistent

@henrywinter Personally it is great that Man U feel aggrieved. Smaller clubs normally end up being discriminated against with incorrect decisions against them when playing big clubs. You can see why with the hysteria and entitlement from Man U fans last night. 🎻

Decisions, decisions. Amad Diallo was a penalty. That gets given as a free-kick anywhere else on the pitch. It’s even more a penalty than the Matheus Cunha penalty (which was a pen, however “soft”). Amad was just less theatrical. Penalty not given. Wrong decision. Harry Maguire was a penalty and red card. DOGSO. Penalty and red card given. Correct decision.  Understandable debate over the decisions and inevitable frustration for Manchester United. But United have benefited from decisions that go their way this season. All clubs have these issues, examples, frustrations. The main issue here is … 1) General standard of officiating in the Premier League. Amad decision was poor. Even more investment required in grass-roots refereeing, in fast-tracking talent, in training up academy graduates who don’t make it as pros, and in continued work to improve further the Select Group refs. PL has some good officials. Just need more. 2) Football belongs to fans, not officials. Fans deserve to know what is going on in real time. When decision/incident being discussed by officials, audio should be played live. The authorities don’t want to, feel it places too much pressure on officials so content themselves with brief explanation when announcing decision and clarification on PL Match Centre. Fans in the stadium and tuning in pay a lot for tickets and subscriptions, respectively, and shouldn’t be kept in the dark. Audio works well in rugby union and cricket (and acknowledging those sports have more pauses in play). l went to a VAR demonstration (not PL) earlier this week given by an elite official. Hearing the audio between officials gave insight into the process - and respect for what they are dealing with at speed, especially with players trying to con them.  You are never going to get complete consistency over decisions. There’s always going to be an element of subjectivity with so many incidents. But fans deserve more transparency and accountability. It might restore some trust. #BOUMUN

Congratulations to Stuart Atwell. He got the game he wanted. United robbed of a comfortable 2-0 win because the ref didn't want to give the same blatant penalty twice. Casemiro & Amad dreadful. Maguire stupid decision. Feel for Carrick.
