Injured or not, I haven’t understood the Polanco signing from day 1. He was not a first baseman. It doesn’t help that Stearns went to Japan to scout Munetaka Murakami, a slugging first baseman, didn’t sign him, and he’s tearing it up for the White Sox right now.
