Was there a point in time where Rodri was considered the best midfielder in the world? 👀

dfkm no one was saying this in 2023

This is why most fans don't want Arsenal to win a trophy. Because this was 10 days ago, and 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗘 has already forgotten about it. Arsenal fans would not let us forget.

Elliot Anderson vs Japan

Matheus Nunes Nico O’Reilly Nico Gonzalez Doku Haaland That’s your top 5 POTS for City.

Those in agent circles speak of #ManCity having Elliot Anderson as priority No.1 and are ahead in the race. While not at a ‘done deal’ stage yet, the word is @ManCity are looking to accelerate their move prior to the World Cup, wary that his £100M price tag could rise even further. [via @MailSport]

Midfielder - 8/6 Midfielder - 8/10 Right Back Forward - RW ( to mitigate for Bobb ) Back-up Keeper ( if required ) Reis returning. Sounds good for City?

There is no genuine sporting reason why Phil Foden should go to the World Cup.

Ce qu’on ne vous dira jamais c’est que Neymar était un meilleur passeur que Lionel Messi.

Manchester City are about to sign another Kovacic in that lad, and they’ll regret it.

I admit it - I thought VAR would make a positive difference. I was wrong. I think we should scrap it. Not tweak it. Just scrap it. Looks like a lot of you agree. nytimes.com/athletic/71560…

Eleven withdrawals doesn’t just “happen” by coincidence. When you’ve got players like Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice , Saka, Martin Odegaard , Zubi etc. all suddenly unavailable at the same time, it raises eyebrows especially when most of them are then magically fine for club football. Clubs always talk about “player welfare,” but let’s not pretend there isn’t an element of control here. Arsenal know exactly what they’re doing: - Keep key players fresh - Avoid unnecessary international risk - Maximise performance in the title run-in Meanwhile, other clubs send players off, risk injuries, and deal with the consequences. It’s not technically breaking the rules that’s the frustrating part. They’re operating right on the edge of what’s allowed, using medical reports and “precaution” as a shield. You can’t really pin anything on them officially, but it definitely leaves a bad taste when it’s this many players at once.
