Always an honor to meet DSG @AminaJMohammed. Today we discussed the ambitions and challenges for the upcoming Summit of the Future as well as the important role of small states to revitalize #multilateralism. LI will remain a vocal advocate for the #RuleOfLaw.

I am grateful for the excellent conversation with ASG @khiari_khaled earlier today – we discussed current threats to international #peace & security, focusing particularly on the dire situation in Gaza. LI remains deeply concerned about the risk of escalation in wider region.

It was great to meet the Executive Director of UN Women @unwomenchief again to discuss women’s rights in crisis zones. I assured her of Liechtenstein’s commitment to protect and promote gender equality, including through the revitalization of CSW. #SDG5

It is my hope that others will join us in support of the next phase of FAST under the leadership of UNDP, to eradicate slavery and trafficking by 2030. #SDGs

I was delighted to meet with @UNDP Administrator @ASteiner at the UN in New York to mark the new strategic partnership of Liechtenstein’s #SDG flagship #FASTInitiative with UNDP - together we continue our important work towards the achievement of SDG8.7. #EndModernSlavery

Today the opening of the new 🇺🇦Honorary Consulate in #Vaduz took place why @YPerebyinis traveled to 🇱🇮. With the opening of the HC, the already strong relations between #Ukraine and #Liechtenstein can be further strengthened. Thank you very much for this exchange.

In this year’s #EFTA Ministerial Meeting we signed the modernized Free Trade Agreement with #Chile, agreed on next steps for the recently signed FTA with #India and discussed cooperation with #Ukraine and other #EFTA partners. Thank you CH for hosting us in beautiful Geneva!

In #Zambia a number of bilateral talks were also held - @PrincessKZulu, @mohzambia, MFA and local authorities. The focus was on improving awareness of the projects and promoting cooperation between the government and the project partners. Cooperation = Key

Access to clean drinking water is essential. More than 1/3 of all people living in #Zambia have no safe access to clean water and around half have no access to sanitary facilities. This is why the 🇱🇮 Development Service also supports the #waterforwater project.
