@Domkidos I agree with the latter and even with the former but not with the implied value judgment. Every action is, indeed, a distraction from the void. But there is a kind of eternity in the attempt at beauty, perfection, if only the eternity of focus and suspension of the future.

Tangible things in life are only worth it if it contains the in-tangible element. Like money is only credible if it buys freedom & expression. Beauty only expresses if we have a certain fetish 'certain fixation' for it. Sex is only enjoyable if there exists tension

@Known2Cali4nia Automation. Modern world is 50% automated via fossil fuels the other 50% isn't. Main reason why we don't have 100% automation is due to inability of machines to replace human dexterity. Certain kinds of work just resist automation due to lack of structural context
