There are no boxes left in Europe for under $2,700. I warned you all there simply aren't going to be many of these boxes in Europe or the United States. These boxes were only available at exclusive events in China and were limited to just 5,000 units, featuring a completely unique design. In comparison, the English box had a supply of around 20,000 units. My estimate is that only 1,000–1,500 of these boxes ever made it to Europe and the United States combined. Of those, I believe fewer than 500 are still factory sealed today.

I told you people would eventually realize what the very first Riftbound cards actually were. These cards were released so early that Riot later changed both the name and the card design. They can never be reprinted because they belong to a completely different era of the game. They are a true piece of Riftbound history the only full-art Project K cards ever made, back when the game was still called Project K before it became Riftbound. It's similar to the legendary Japanese Pokémon cards printed without rarity symbols they represent the earliest version of the game. These Project K cards also feature the gold Riot logo, a logo that appears only on these cards and nowhere else.

Many people think $400k + sales of 1st Edition Charizard are the pinnacle of collectibles. But have you seen the prices of vintage Japanese Pokémon cards without rarity symbols? Some have sold for $500,000 to several million dollars. If you're wondering what the closest equivalent could be for Riftbound, it's the Chinese Arcane Collector's Box. It contains the earliest Project K (pre-Riftbound) cards with a completely different card design than the final game. With an estimated print run of only 5,000 boxes, it's one of the rarest and most historically significant Riftbound collectibles ever released.

It's crazy to see how much higher the quality of the very first Project K cards is compared to the later Riftbound releases. The Project K cards feature richer colors, a premium gold Riot logo, and unique design details that will never be used again. These cards will always be a part of Riftbound's history. These are the only Chinese cards I recommend.

Project K cards are currently among the most expensive cards in the entire Riftbound TCG. These are the very first cards ever created for Riftbound TCG, back when the game was still called Project K. They represent the earliest chapter in the game's history, before Riot officially renamed Project K to Riftbound and redesigned the cards. - These cards were released in 2024 - The official Riftbound TCG wasn't released until one year later. - They are essentially the First Edition cards of Riftbound. Even though these cards are in Chinese, they are among the most important cards in the entire Riftbound TCG. These cards feature the original beta design, which will never be reprinted. They represent a unique piece of Riftbound's history. I normally don't recommend buying Chinese cards, but these are the exception. They were only available in a limited number of packs and, in my opinion, are some of the most interesting cards for collectors. All of these cards have an extremely low supply. Some Project K cards are already selling for around $3,000 ungraded. What many people don't know is that these cards also had an exclusive companion product: the Chinese Arcane LoL Exclusive Promo Set Box. It contains the only Full Art Project K cards ever officially released. The best part? The box was limited to just 5,000 copies, was released only in China in 2024, and features the original Project K beta design, meaning these cards will never be reprinted in this form. Despite all of that, the box is still available for around $1,200. I'm excited to see when this box finally starts taking off.

@CollectStrategy The Silver Packs were released at the end of December 2024, around three weeks before the Red Packs, alongside the Chinese Arcane Promo Box.

@DonMemelol Did they release before the Lunar Teemo? It would be great if someone could draw out a complete timeline on the Project K stuff.

It's crazy to see the English box selling for around $700, despite having a much larger print run of around 20,000 copies. Meanwhile, the Chinese Arcane LoL Exclusive Promo Set Box was limited to just 5,000 copies, contains cards that will never be printed again, features the very first cards ever made for what would later become Riftbound TCG, and currently sells for around $1,200. That's pretty incredible. I wonder when the market will finally recognize the value of owning a piece of Riftbound's history.

I think both boxes are fantastic long-term collectibles whether you choose the English or the Chinese version. Personally, I slightly prefer the Chinese Arcane Box because the cards feature the original Project K layout. The English Arcane Box is also an outstanding collectible, but since it uses the current Riftbound card design, there is always a possibility that Riot could release those characters or similar Arcane-themed cards again in the future. I don't think that's likely, but it's something collectors should keep in mind. I believe, based on the order numbers and all the information that's available, that there are probably no more than around 20,000 English Arcane Boxes. Of course, that's just an estimate the exact production numbers have never been officially disclosed. In the end, only Riot knows the true print run.

@DonMemelol If I knew that before I would’ve sold my OGN boxes and went all in at $200. I initially thought there were 50-100k English Arcane boxes. Definitely makes the Chinese a little less special because I thought that English had 10x more print.

The very first Riftbound cards ever released, limited to just 5,000 copies. Individual cards are already listed on Cardmarket for $1,700, while the first sealed box has reached $3,000. Absolutely crazy. And I can assure you, very, very few people even know this box exists!

I have many contacts with major distributors. No official number was ever announced, but several experienced dealers have assured me that there are likely between 10,000 and 20,000 boxes at most. You can also see it from the large number of graded cards already on the market and from the amount of active listings.

Don't open ⚠️⚠️ the black Chinese Arcane Box. The sealed premium has become absolutely massive. Sealed Chinese Arcane Black Boxes are now listed for up to €5,000 in Europe, with only a handful available on the market. I said this from the very beginning: there simply wouldn't be many of these boxes in Europe or the US. The print run was limited to 5,000 boxes exclusive for China, and I genuinely believe there are no more than around 1,200 sealed boxes across Europe and America combined. If that's even close to accurate, finding one in the future is going to become incredibly difficult. If you own a sealed Black Box, think twice before opening it. The sealed premium is already enormous and in my opinion, it's only getting started.
