Women who make ice in #curling clubs are rarities, but this week Toronto’s Rebecca Duck is helping to provide the playing surface at #STOH2022 from Fort William Gardens in Thunder Bay. @bwcurlingTSN has more in his latest. READ: tsn.ca/1.1754138

RT if you’ve taken the first dose of AstraZeneca, are TOTALLY aware of the risks involved, and would take the second dose in a heartbeat!🙋‍♀️💉@fordnation @celliottability

CHECK OUT THESE CURLING CARDS! @MamaMcCutch’s daughter Sadie made these years ago as part of a @CurlingCanada campaign — and Jodi told me she’s been waiting for some time now to give me them. Outstanding Sadie. And thank you, Jodi. Truly. #cbccurl

Story time. Quick one. Because the best part of my job is being able to connect with people — and it’s been a while since I’ve been able to do it. But I had a wonderful and magical moment at the rink tonight here in KW. #cbccurl

Pretty much same as yesterday, just a little more ice. 9,550 gallons down.

The Whitby Curling Club lost a legend today. The club owes everything to Gord Carroll. This former Manager and Icemaker completely changed the sport in Whitby. Good Curling Gordie 💔

Yes to this @mikeharriscurls . We need to stop undervaluing our sport and make sure our curling centers can survive. Support your league and please dont make a big fuss when they have an increase in membership just to even keep up with inflation.

@curlinggeek This is an opportunity for clubs to look at how much they charge to play... if you can fill the ice, the facility needs to make enough from that to survive, IMO. Curling is dirt cheap compared to almost every other recreational activity. Time for change, but do it together.

@curlinggeek @CURLSASK We had a few very close ones here in Toronto before a couple shut down. High Park and Boulevard Club. Under 2km. Avonlea (Werenich’s home) and Donalda also very close... Boul and Avonlea now gone.

I'm on a mission to find the two closest curling clubs in Canada. So, odd question for @CurlSask. Where is the Willow Brook Curling Club?

Pop Quiz: Assume we curl with 3 person teams next season and we pre-place the four lead rocks, then each player throws their two as normal, but with one sweeper. 1) Where do you put lead rocks for social play? 2) Where do you put them for competitive play?

@theBenEstes You could, but it's fairly tiring for social players. I'm also trying to find a way to play a game in 90 minutes, allowing for one more draw per night to get more bodies through the club. Will also help with the fact that the bathrooms are probably closed.
