I drove down Sauchiehall Street today — at least for as far as I could go before it becomes a building site — for the first time in over a decade. It used to be world-famous, Glasgow’s equivalent of Oxford Street. It’s now a shambles and a disgrace to Scotlands biggest city. A national scandal. Glasgow City Council should be put into administration. It is clearly incapable of running a proud city which, after years of decline, had a 30-year renaissance from the late 1970s onwards. And is now in more serious decline than ever. So sad — and unnecessary.

@Janela_X Touch screen;just how many grubby paw all over these in front of us. Yet we roll along introducing these devices. I’ve an aversion to being forcibly directed to this method, refusing to use an equivalent in a local bank that appeared to have a caramel or similar spat allover it.

I despair. This is our local medical surgery. The old person that never sees anyone is meant to use this machine. The dyslexic person faces embarrassment as they can't fill it in. What is happening to humanity?

Two years have changed nothing. @SPTcorporate want more control over buses but they and their councils already have control of roads. Spending another £400m of taxpayers money every year won’t change this
