The best pre-seed check you’ll ever get might come from a fund you’ve never heard of. These are writing first $500k checks right now: - @Liquid2V (San Francisco, CA) - @tinyseedfund (Chicago, IL) - @TalokCapital (Covina, CA) - @ARKInvest (St. Pete, FL) - @BoostVC (San Mateo, CA) - @coventurevc (New York, NY) - @MVP_Ventures (Menlo Park, CA) - @HarpoonVentures (San Diego, CA) - @AcequiaCapital (Seattle, WA) - @redbudvc (Columbia, MO) - @NextViewVC (Boston, MA) P.S. They won’t tell you they’re interested twice. Have your data room open before they ask. Best stories told through → @ThePageform

my very first interview 😳
Wu | Hirey.ai@Walterwu44739

What are you building? #8 @fdotinc @joypbuilds is building Stitch, a mini-vlog app for people who keep capturing life but never finish the edit. This one hit me personally. I’ve been cutting videos almost every day recently, and honestly, editing is exhausting. You collect all these tiny moments, but then they sit in your camera roll or hard drive forever. Stitch’s idea is simple: lower the pressure, reduce the choices, and help you turn daily clips into a finished mini-vlog. “Less features is the feature” is such a good product philosophy. Interview by @JoshTalksBiz Camera by me Thanks Joshua for helping make this one happen. I’m also building hirey.ai, where your AI agent finds the right people and opportunities for you.

six weeks ago, i quit my job. then things started moving crazy fast. we got into @fdotinc in our second week. started launching every day. got our first paying customer. our paying customers keep topping up. got our first check, then the second. every day there’s so much going on. all your energy and emotions get compressed. before you can react, the next thing hits. there are ups and downs. sometimes it’s exhausting. but i love it. i love that life can hold so much more in the same amount of time. and i love being a founder.

Introducing the Canopy graduating class. 120 teams across software, hardware, and creators. After flying to San Francisco from 103 countries, they've spent the past 5 weeks building from our campus and they've made amazing things: - Autonomous underwater work robots. - World models for spatial reasoning. - Drones that charge themselves on power lines. - The fastest photo to 3D model tool ever. - A full-stack OS for physical AI. - Drones that launch as rockets & land with precision. - Private RL worlds for frontier agents. - Provable outputs for black-box AI. - A tool that cuts LLM bills 20x with tiny models. - Insurance for AI agents. - Infinite connections for agentic payments. - Cloud storage for agents/humans that needs 0 upload. - The muscle layer for every AI agent. - Smart glasses for industrial workflows. - Advanced touch screens built for Ferraris. - Camera earbud wearables - The first smart pregnancy wearable. - A headband that forces you into deep sleep. - Foundation models for human behavior. - Frontier models that detect tumors and there's 100 more... too many to just list here, So tomorrow, we're opening up our campus. The same place they've been working out of for the past 5 weeks, so that they can show you everything they've built Some are at $1M ARR, decided to move to San Francisco full-time, & are ready for their life's mission Some have joined our portfolio, & will continue building out of our campus until they become unicorns. All 200 of these founders are the world's freshest and brightest minds here to tackle real problems. We're very proud to introduce them to you tomorrow: RSVP @ luma .com/festival

Today, we’re launching pgGraph: an Apache open-source graph traversal engine for Postgres, written in Rust 🦀 When we started Evokoa, we kept running into the same wall every serious agent team eventually hits: > Agents need to reason across relationships. > But graph DBs are expensive AF, and suck to use. So, we built pgGraph around a simple, single idea: Postgres should stay the source of truth, and the graph engine should live beside it. pgGraph does something different. > It keeps the rows in Postgres, > Compiles the topology around them, > Creates a virtual graph layer using CSR-style adjacency arrays. We're making your existing postgres database graph-traversable for agents without any of the usual BS. > No recursive join hell. > No ETL pipeline. > No second source of truth. > Blazing fast performance pgGraph is already live in production workflows across RevOps, healthcare, and visa services. We’re open-sourcing it because graph traversal should become a default primitive in the agent stack, not an enterprise migration project. Treat Postgres as a graph. Zero data migration. This is what Apache AGE should have been. Docs + Repo below.

4 weeks ago we brought 200 founders to our campus They came from all over the world. Japan, India, Russia, Korea, New Jersey, Canada & 30+ other countries They've built: - Autonomous solar farm maintenance robots - Hearing aids that cost $20 instead of $4700 - Protein engineering that costs $10K instead of $200K - An autonomous retention engine for companies - An algorithm that finds tumors - Insurance for AI agents - Disk free infinite cloud storage that requires no upload - A headband that amplifies your REM sleep brainwaves - AI that finds & schedules the best talent for interviews - Robots that stock retail shops - Underwater drones to clean fish farms & about 100 more ambitious companies like this. Next Friday we're hosting a Festival/Demo Day to showcase their progress and celebrate startups solving real problems. We believe in founders that care, are obsessed with their solution, & never stop relentlessly building. If you feel the same way. Come through lu. ma/Festival

hi a friend pinged me about this. for context: - 45 ppl including me were selected by google deepmind for google summer of code (gsoc) - some of us shared the same mentor (employee at gdm), and were told that we are allowed to list “open source developer at google deepmind” / “prev. google deepmind” but not as “intern” - based on the guideline i listed “developer at gdm” on my linkedin and resume (mentioned it under gsoc), told everyone this was through gsoc and this passed the reference check for internship at xAI, nvidia and apple. did seek approval beforehand so I believed this was acceptable. hope this clears things up and reassures people that there was no intent to misrepresent anything.

@haileyhmt Where did it say “due to political change” in your rejection? Maybe it’s just not in your pictures that you posted or I’m just missing something…?

rejected by a16z speedrun officially - citizenship asked during 1) initial application, 2) pre interview form, 3) follow up email, and 4) reconfirmed again in the final 10 min interview together with visa status - hongkongese, no visa, delware corp without china/hong kong business - told: “you’re solo founder and due to political change, we cannot fund it, but we like u/ur video” not sure if this is related to broader us-china tensions, or things like reports of china blocking the manus meta deal, but as a hongkongese faced political dramas in hong kong & just trying to build a career in the us, i unfortunately seem to be caught in the middle
