I agree entirely. I know it is all WINDOW DRESSING here in Australia. Can I prove their true objectives? No, but after decades of cover ups this is one more, though perhaps a little more 'sophisticated'.

The Church safeguarding industry is nothing more than a sophisticated public relations exercise designed to deflect criticism & manage a fraudulent narrative of ‘we’re on it’. We must keeping exposing it for what it is - a sham. Safeguarding the Church was always the objective.

Cardinal Hollerich (Luxembourg) said recently that the Church cannot continue to exist without ordaining women! I got sidelined for saying that fifteen years ago. (All about timing!) Would they have the decency to allow me back, now that the opinion is mainstream? Not likely.

I just read Virginia Roberts Giuffre's book "Nobody's Girl" and I'm devastated. Especially knowing now she's gone. I drew this cartoon almost 10 years ago to illustrate what women, girls, and men who care are up against: carelessness protected by power. Let's not give up caring.

@DonaldMcleish I get what you’re saying—just talking about clericalism isn’t enough. Actions matter. But it’s also not accurate to say the Church wants clericalism to remain. In fact, leaders like Pope Francis have openly criticized it and tried to push reforms.

@AMooreye Allyson Francis and thousands of others have said it. Saying is not enough. Stamp it out completely but the church wants the clerical state to remain above mere mortals - a FACT. Even Popes can't fix it. Bishops reign!

@DonaldMcleish Clericalism is indeed a real problem, and even leaders in the Catholic Church have spoken strongly against it. For example, Pope Francis has repeatedly called clericalism a “disease” that makes priests act with pride instead of humility.

Page 229, Volume 3: ''Intercourse with a woman is not allowed unless she attains the age of nine years, regardless whether the marriage is permanent or temporary.
