Yesterday’s event was really crowded, and the space was so tight that everyone had to squeeze together. So I ended up standing mixed in with other fandoms, because I wanted to see how they viewed Yoko. The area where I stood was mostly BL fans and fans of other GL artists. When Yoko and Grace walked in, I noticed that a lot of people already knew Yoko. It was so packed that I couldn’t see clearly, so the people in front started passing her name along like, “Yoko, Yoko.” And many people said the person walking with Yoko She’s cute. As for all the drama and fake news that anti-fans try to spread to damage Yoko trying to throw mud at both Yoko and Grace other fandoms honestly don’t care that much. A lot of people around the venue were students and teenagers, and many of them recognized Yoko. Yesterday, I even met Yoko’s fanboys. They’ve followed her since her girl-group days, and they came to this event for her too. And many people aren’t on X anymore because they’re exhausted by all the stressful drama, but they still follow Yoko through other platforms. Yoko has never really lost her value because of boycotts or toxic people trying to insult her. Grace is the same. During the award ceremony, I had to sit among BL fans again, almost all the way at the back. I could see many people’s phone screens recording videos and taking photos when Grace and Yoko went up as presenters. They might not upload it on social media, but just seeing them record was enough it showed me that people are still interested in them, and they’re not disliked in this industry the way anti-fans try to manipulate the narrative and put them down.
