@Chima_Obi1234 I'm no detective, but this statement has holes that could indite you further. I so submit. "......the boyfriend called back 3 mins later and she's dead already and people broke down the door (probably under a minute) to have ascertained she's dead already?" huh!

“My lawyers have spoken on my behalf. But I want to correct one piece of information. The lady in question was like a daughter to me. She stayed with me for three years. She was a nurse and a staff member of the Federal Medical University, not a physiotherapist. Our families are like one family. She had been receiving treatment at a Turkish hospital, and I paid her medical bills, including ₦2.2 million on April 5. She spoke with her boyfriend before her death and told him she was bleeding from the nose. He advised her to report it, but she said the bleeding had stopped. He ended the call and called back three minutes later, but she was no longer responding. Earlier, she had told him she was going to take a bath. When people became concerned, they broke down the door and found her dead, with the tap still running. The guest house where she died is far from where I live, so it is unfair to hold me responsible simply because it belongs to the Ministry of Works. People should stop using the unfortunate death of a young girl to play politics. If we had a hand in her death, it would follow us and our families, but if we did not, those making false accusations should be careful. Her death is very painful to me because she was one of my best workers.” “We have been begging the family to allow an autopsy, but they said it is against their culture. Through our lawyers, we insisted that an autopsy must be carried out, and I have directed that the body should not be released until it is done. I have also asked the Inspector-General of Police to transfer the investigation to Abuja and engage with the family to secure their consent. The deceased had previously experienced nosebleeds. Her boyfriend told us that while we were in Lagos, she called him to report another episode, and he advised her to inform me or seek treatment at a nearby hospital, but she did not want to disturb me. I have asked the police to retrieve the call logs between her and her boyfriend so they can listen to their final conversation. At this stage, I suspect no foul play because another lady was in the room, the door was locked from the inside and had to be broken open, and the tap was still running, suggesting she was about to take a bath. The photographs circulating online were taken at the mortuary by the police before her body was prepared, and they have been used to spread damaging misinformation. I have instructed my lawyers to take legal action against those responsible for cyberbullying and spreading false information, and we intend to test the law on the matter.” _ Senator David Umahi, 16.07.26

"There is nothing Davido can show me except formal education. I memorized and completed the recitation of the Holy Qur'an when I was just 20 years old. I am also popular; there is no one in Nigeria who does not enjoy listening to my songs, including those who criticize me. So, no matter how wealthy or influential anyone becomes, let them be. But as for Bola Tinubu, he will surely secure a second term. We will campaign for him in every corner of this country." — Dauda Kahutu Rarara. #30BG

The entire country of South Africa is being systematically framed by social media bots. I've never seen anything like this before. I've seen astroturfing of online discourse by bot farms, but I've never seen someone attempt to use AI bots to outnumber and drown out an entire country of 60 million people. These accounts spewing the same "go beck and fix ya kantri" talking points with "🇿🇦" in their username are not real people! Open each account that you see posting that stuff. Check the signup date, open the media tab and check the replies tab so see what they interact with. They're all bots! Some crazy person somewhere with more money than God is trying to set up an entire country using Twitter bots!

I just received the sad news of the train derailment along the Warri–Itakpe rail corridor in Delta State. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the families who lost their loved ones in this unfortunate mishap, and I pray for the quick recovery of those injured. I urge the relevant authorities to investigate the immediate and remote causes of this derailment swiftly, ensure full accountability, and implement measures to restore public confidence in our rail systems. -PO

Dear Young Nigerians, One lesson from the 2023 elections, particularly in Lagos, should never be forgotten. In the period following the presidential election and leading up to the governorship election, we witnessed a troubling shift in public discourse. Conversations that should have focused on competence, governance, development, and the future of our nation were gradually diverted towards tribal sentiments, ethnic divisions, and unnecessary suspicion among citizens. Many sincere and well-meaning Nigerians participated in these conversations without realising that they were being drawn into narratives carefully designed by others. Throughout history, whenever politicians find it difficult to compete on ideas, performance, character, or vision, some resort to exploiting the fault lines of ethnicity, religion, and identity. Their calculation is simple: a divided people are easier to manipulate than a united people. Today, I see similar efforts emerging again, sometimes in more subtle and sophisticated ways. Narratives are planted, amplified, and circulated, often by individuals who genuinely believe they are defending a worthy cause, without recognizing the broader agenda behind such campaigns. Let me state clearly that Pastor Enoch Adeboye remains one of the foremost fathers of faith in our nation. For decades, he has consistently preached the virtues of peace, prayer, love, reconciliation, and national unity. Even when faced with provocation, his response has always reflected humility, restraint, wisdom, and grace. At 84 years of age, it would be unfair for young and able-bodied Nigerians to transfer to him responsibilities that properly belong to them. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. It is their duty to lead the conversations, champion the reforms, and drive the positive change our nation urgently requires. We must be careful not to become instruments in the hands of those who secretly nurture division while publicly preaching unity. In most cases, their target is not the individual being attacked; instead, it is the person who is attacking. Their real objective is to weaken the bonds that hold us together as one people and one nation. I therefore urge all young Nigerians: do not allow anyone to recruit you into hatred. Do not allow anyone to weaponise your ethnicity, your faith, or your admiration for respected leaders. Question every narrative. Verify every claim. Follow the facts. Resist manipulation. The Nigeria of our dreams can only be built by citizens who refuse to be divided, who choose unity over hatred, and who place our collective future above narrow interests. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

FINALLY Atiku finally chooses Mohammed Hayatu-Deen of Borno State as his Vice Presidential candidate. Haven shopped, searched, sorted, begged for a vice from the South south but to no avail, Atiku had no choice than to chose another northerner as his running mate. Recall that, Shittima the current vice president is from Borno. Don't also forget that, Mohammed was one of those who contested the presidential primaries in ADC against Atiku and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi but lost To Atiku, if Nigerians can allow Muslim Muslim ticket, why can't they allow northern northern ticket. Atiku doesn't want to be a president, he jus wants to fulfill his gig of divided votes. However, it's getting clearer to his employees that, he doesn't even have the capacity to divide a vote, as he has no structure Define Cornfusion again.

Celebrating Eid-el-Kabir with Faith, Sacrifice and Hope I warmly felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, a sacred occasion that embodies the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience to God, compassion, and love for humanity. Let us focus our prayers on unity and hope at this year’s Sallah. As we reflect on the profound lessons of this solemn celebration, we are reminded of the need for selflessness, tolerance, and commitment to the common good. These values are especially important at this critical period of our national journey. Nigeria is a nation of immense potential, currently weighed down by avoidable challenges, but the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir teaches us that after sacrifice comes fulfilment. We must never lose hope in the possibility of a functional, just, and productive nation where no citizen is left behind. Let us use this sacred period to pray for our security forces on the frontlines, for wisdom for our leaders, and for meaningful economic relief for the masses who continue to bear the burden of our collective difficulties. Let us also recommit ourselves to peace, mutual respect, and unity across faiths and regions. May this Eid-el-Kabir bring joy to our families, peace to our communities, and renewed hope to our dear nation. I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed and joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration. -PO
