So you sell the farm to pay for the taxes. That's the wealth tax. Also, most of billionaires "wealth" is stock in companies they built. If Elon Musk owes $5 billion in wealth taxes, he doesn't write a check. He sells his Tesla shares. The stock drops. Your 401k ALSO DROPS.
