@HoyasFan07 We just have to push ahead with the AUKUS Class, we don’t have the expertise for SSKs + the tradeoff in capability you get with SSNs are worth it. While it would be nice to have SSKs to boost mass it’d make more sense to use UUVs to fill more mundane tasks and some combat

@HoyasFan07 4-5 SSKs is an excellent suggestion I have seen before. Unfortunately the country is so fundamentally broken institutionally and financially that I can't see this or any other likely government even bothering to address these issues.

UK should order 10 (not 8).
10 British + 5 Norwegian is quite good as you then have an Anglo-Norwegian fleet of 15 tier 1 ASW frigates. Almost entirely operating in the Euro-Atlantic against Russian subs. (i assume a RN T26 may occasionally go elsewhere eg to the middle

@HoyasFan07 Yes definitely a great ship, I hope we will manage to further scale up production and order more. BAE is capable of that, but the Government must give a solid commitment otherwise the current deadlines will still, suboptimal.
