I signed a NDA so there's a lot I can't disclose and I don't know what direction they took after my involvement ended but I hope this third-party publisher upholds what they told me—that they would do the game's narrative justice in the localisation.

I was employed by them for a few months until recently. While I didn't have the power to make decisions, I would suggest several approaches, its pros & cons, what are popular approaches, and what is appropriate for a text-heavy game like Light and Night.
