@SharonM28627721 Sharon, you have perfectly articulated my ‘over 70 Albertan’ disgust with Canada’s disregard of the West and in particular of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Our votes don’t count and our aspirations are totally dismissed or ignored. The West can go it alone!!!

As an Alberta senior, (I’m over 70, I won’t say how much) I’ve had it!! I’m done with so many arrogant liberal influencers who sit in central Canada & think they have the right to tell Albertans how we should feel, call us traitors for telling you we’re done, and think you know how many of us are actually feeling done. I don’t remember a time that Alberta hasn’t been frustrated by how central Canada treats us, we’re disrespected, & our concerns are dismissed at every turn by many in central Canada & the federal government. We feel used & abused. When we express our frustrations, we get told to shut up & sit down. I don’t remember Quebec getting treated like that, in fact Canadians begged them to stay & gave them special status within the federation. As a fourth generation Canadian & a third generation Albertan, I’m telling central Canada, dismiss us, & the separation movement at your peril. You think you know, but you really don’t. Many of you, maybe most have never set foot in Alberta, & have never bothered to know anything about this province & our unique western heritage. I’ve never been in favour of separation…. until now. It’s time for central Canada to take our concerns seriously, things have to change because Albertans in huge numbers are telling you, we’re at the end of our patience. Pay attention!

@NoappologyJ I’ve asked the same question and ‘crickets’. The lack of anyone offering a solid single reason to stay speaks for itself.

Genuine question. As an Albertan, why would I want to stay as part of Canada? What compelling reason is there that would make me abandon hopes and dreams of an independent Alberta? I genuinely want to know. What should keep me as a Canadian?

🚨 BREAKING: The Air Canada CEO just “retired.” Not because of years of Official Languages violations. Not because of record complaints to the Commissioner. Not because his airline has been fined over and over for failing to serve Canadians in French. Because he posted a condolence video IN ENGLISH, after 2 of his pilots died. Parliament summoned him. Quebec's Premier demanded his resignation. And this was driven by Liberals, who are desperate to make sure they win Terrebonne. They don’t care about the dead pilots. They care about winning. Two pilots are dead. A fire truck with no transponder was on an active runway. One controller was doing two jobs! NO ONE got summoned over that. But the language of a grief video? CAREER OVER. This country has lost the plot.

Oxford University researchers have discovered the densest element yet known to science... The new element, Governmentium (symbol=Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called pillocks. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as a critical morass. When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium (symbol=Ad), an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium, since it has half as many pillocks but twice as many morons.

Let’s get something straight - Air Canada is NOT owned by the Canadian government. If the CEO of this public company doesn’t speak French who cares?

Carney, a year in review "Now, after a year of this Prime Minister being in office, on the promise that he would, quote, negotiate a win with the United States is a good time to take an inventory where we are." "He promised that he would give us the fastest growing economy in the G7. We now have the only shrinking economy in the G7." "He promised affordable food. We have the most food inflation in the G7. "He promised that we would have a solid economy. We now have the worst housing costs and the highest household debt in the G7 and the second highest unemployment in that group." "He said that he would negotiate a win with the President. Here we are today, a year later, no win, no deal." "Tariffs on aluminum and steel have doubled and on Canadian lumber they have tripled." "He promised that he would build projects with record speed. And yet his major projects office, which this house rushed into existence in five days back in June because the Prime Minister said it was an emergency, has still not approved a single project of any kind." "Almost a year later, not a single pipeline has been approved" "And of course when it comes to building homes, he promised he would double home building his own housing agency projects that will drop by 15%." ... and no tax reform, and interprovincial trade barriers remain But boomers and paid media remain smitten with Carney's eloquent deflections from domestic headaches @PierrePoilievre

Matt Jeneroux explains his decision to cross the floor. Voters in Edmonton Riverbend elected a Conservative MP. Now the debate is about accountability, representation, and whether party switches should trigger a by-election. Democracy means voters come first. #cdnpoli #MattJeneroux #Parliament #Conservatives #Canada

I am honoured to welcome Matt Jeneroux to our caucus as the newest member of Canada’s new government. Building a stronger, more resilient, and more independent country will require ambition, collaboration, and occasionally, sacrifice. I am grateful to Matt and his family that he will continue his service as a strong voice for Edmonton Riverbend in Parliament. For more than a decade, Matt has been entrusted by Albertans to help shape a stronger future. He was first elected to Alberta’s Legislature in 2012 and to Canada’s Parliament in 2015 — earning four consecutive mandates in the House of Commons. In Ottawa, he has taken on portfolios that are central to Canada’s economic strength, security, and national resilience — including as Shadow Minister for supply chains, innovation, infrastructure, health, and housing. He is a strong voice in international engagement and parliamentary diplomacy, having served as Vice-Chair of the Canada-UK Interparliamentary Association and Founder of the Canada-ASEAN Parliamentary Group, and building direct working relationships with lawmakers across NATO, Europe, Asia, Africa, the United States and the OSCE. As a new special advisor on economic and security partnerships, Matt’s leadership will contribute to strengthening Canada’s alliances and trade partnerships, advancing Canada’s leadership in global security cooperation, and building our strength at home. The world has changed, and Canada must change with it. This is a time to come together — and together, we will build a stronger future for Edmonton, Alberta, and all Canadians.

Alberta separatists I’m genuinely asking. Tell me specifically how Alberta leaving Canada improves your life. Break it down: money, healthcare, pensions, borders, trade. Not vibes. Not slogans. Not Trudeau. If this is a serious plan, the details should be easy.
