‘That’s worse than what Thatcher did to the miners and I’m saying that as a miner's son. You’re freezing the working class' ability to eat and live’ Martin Daubney discusses the Canadian Government freezing the bank accounts of ‘Freedom Convoy’ truckers.

As a Proud and Blessed Pet Parent … This whole case truly breaks my heart 💔 … not just because innocent living beings aka animals were murdered, but because it could have been prevented 💯 In my humble opinion, before the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) even took action, the farm Family should have immediately arranged independent laboratory testing for their ostriches. If those results had come back negative, they could have called law enforcement, presented evidence, and legally stopped the cull. Without independent testing: and GOD Almighty forbid, if I had been in their shoes, I would have made sure the tests were done by me on time and that I held proof of negative results in my hands. I would have stood directly in front of my babies: my ostriches, my children: my Family: and made sure I was the first person CFIA would have to harm before they touched even a single feather of my Family. Waiting for CFIA’s permission to test was their biggest mistake: by the time they reacted publicly on social media, it was already too late. Some evil individuals, and unfair institutions, know exactly how to turn illegal/deeply questionable actions into legally protected ones, using procedural loopholes, selective regulations, and technical justifications to shield themselves … even when they are guilty of deliberate wrongdoing. And sometimes, those fighting such systems: like this farm Family who owned these beautiful and innocent ostriches: simply don’t know how to take right legal path, which weakens their case, even when their pain and cause are completely genuine. Losing innocent living beings, whether human or animal, is devastating beyond words. But in today’s unfair world, emotions alone don’t bring #Justice. We live under human-made laws, and to fight unfairness, we must understand the system, know law, and implement it wisely, rightly, fairly. Only crying, begging, complaining or blaming doesn’t win battles: knowledge, persistence, bravery, fairness, and lawful action do. “If your cause is right and your method is pure and lawful, you don’t surrender: you break unfair barriers. Truth doesn’t negotiate with power: it dismantles it with justice.” — Ayyan #OriginalQuote The Missed Legal Route ⚖️ Universal Ostrich Farm Family sadly didn’t take the right legal steps. They spent too much time posting online and expressing grief instead of taking immediate legal action. If they had gotten independent lab tests done early and the results showed no infection, they could have brought in the police and stopped CFIA lawfully. Instead, they waited: I don’t even know for who or what 😡: and by wasting that precious time, it became simply too late! The Supreme Court of Canada’s Role ⚖️ The respectable #SupremeCourtOfCanada did not issue a written reason: it simply declined to hear the appeal, which is standard procedure when refusing leave. That doesn’t mean the Court “didn’t care” about the living beings (ostriches): it just means the case did not raise a national legal issue. The Court followed constitutional procedure, and that deserves respect from every citizen 💯 CFIA’s Legal Power! Under Health of Animals Act, CFIA has the authority to: •Quarantine, test, even order destruction (culling) of animals suspected or confirmed to be infected with a “reportable disease,” like avian influenza (bird flu). •Act without a court order in emergencies: its own lab suspicion or positive result is legally enough to justify action. These powers are meant to protect public safety, but when used rigidly/without transparency, they can cause deep pain and injustice for innocent animals and their parents. 1/ @Canada @CanadianPM @JustinTrudeau @SCC_eng @JusticeCanadaEN @AgricultureCan @InspectionCan @CFIAPresACIA @Safety_Canada @BCGovNews @BCAgCom @bcagcouncil @BCSPCA @peta @PETAUK @AnimalJustice @HumaneSociety @LawSocietyofBC @CBCNews @CTVNews @GlobalNews @TheGlobeAndMail @TorontoStar @NationalPost @RobertKennedyJr @DrOz
