@greta She most certainly had Social Security payments taken out of her paycheck when she worked there. So the SSA would have those payments in their data base. She can get those amounts from a statement that the SSA will send to her and she could release and release them.

The eternal debate of when, where and how #quantumcomputing will deliver commercial value is raging. Has anyone else noticed that a great many consumer apps for restaurants, retail stores and others are poorly designed? I see many that have bad reliability, non-intuitive or out of sync with what a clerk at the store sees on their computer.

@nick_farina Just because AI had a bad start at the beginning does not mean we should give up, skip over it, and go on to the next thing. Almost all the issues that we may run into with quantum we will likely encounter first with AI.

@dougfinke i disagree because AI governance is not a useful parallel. it was doomed from the start with clueless regulators, few stakeholders outside AI, and academic papers just trader around. we can do better this time.

@preskill @Jim_in_Oregon If Jim were to add the word "widespread" to his statement, I would agree with him. However, I would not underestimate the innovativeness of the quantum community to get a few commercially relevant applications into production using NISQ level processors within the next few years.

@TomLubowe For the software packages that are written in software there is a website called pypistats.org that can show you the download stats for various packages. You can type in the name of the quantum sw package and it can give you the number of downloads that software had.
