July 1 Friartown Update:
1. Think there will be a PC vs. Georgia Tech scrimmage in mid October. Best 2 coaches of last cycle. I like it.
2. I believe Fairfield vs. PC is happening 12/8 and has replaced the New Haven game. Fine, all good.
3. Devin Carter to ATL. I love it.

I like the Bannarbie pick-up. It does a few things:
-Solidifies the frontcourt depth (the one weakness to the Hodgson roster build prior to committing)
-Gives Hodgson a chance to evaluate him for a bigger role in 2027-2028 (2 years of eligibility)
-Doesn’t require a big role

@BOCallday Role clarity is a crucial component for a basketball team. You can’t have 9-12 kids all coming in thinking they have a chance to play 30 min a game. It’s terrible for culture

I’ve said that this roster needs another 4/5 to be “complete”. Bannarbie will be entering his 4th year of college with 2 more years of eligibility.
Getting him to back-up the 4 and 5 spots at 6’9 235lb and asking him to play 5-15 minutes is smart roster building by Hodgson.

@TriTownFriar Need to go developmental players to fill out roster. It’s not healthy for a team to have 13 guys that all think they should play. We have our 10 rotational players

Yeah, a dude that averaged 4-5 PPG in 3 years at UConn is only significant to me because it shows we aren’t serious about actually competing. Wouldn’t dedicate any resources to that guy. $ need to go to producers

#UPDATE: UConn transfer F Jaylin Stewart has received interest from Georgetown, per sources. The 6’7 junior F averaged 4.2 PTS on 43% FG in 16 MPG this past season. Would be a SIGNIFICANT ADD.
