@Latterdaytruth I agree that the church doesn’t need to tell us every detail of how we live our lives, but I disagree that having tattoos or wearing certain types of clothing make you unworthy or ungodly. We need to get past those social teachings that aren’t doctrines. Focus more on the heart.
English

There’s an alarming trend amongst Latter-day Saints that has spread in the last 8-10 years. The logic goes like this:
“The church stopped publishing explicit language in a youth pamphlet that recommended not having tattoos, dressing modestly, and other standards. That means I can do all those things now to whatever degree I want.”
It shows a clear and fundamental understanding of why we have standards and what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is here to do.
The Church is here to help people learn how to become like God.
“Recommendations” from people who have special stewardship over the Church are much more than simple rules to follow or not follow.
If something is no longer explicitly taught, it doesn’t mean you should do it. The principles behind those explicit recommendations or requirements never changed.

@JazzNationNews I’m still holding out. For some reason, I have this belief in my heart that he is just a late bloomer and that he will eventually settle into his athleticism. Am I overly optimistic? Probably.
English

Just wondering 🤔
have you completely given up on Cody Williams by now?
OR
still holding out a bit longer for him to show what he can do?

@Complex This is such a politically motivated list based on no facts or real data. Is it a coincidence that the majority of these states are Republican led? And why is it that these states are also experience the most growth from people moving from other states?
English

@certopinion Okay, Dylan, those are fighting words!! If I wasn’t eating a raspberry shake right now, I’d come after you! 😂😂 I absolutely LOVE Bear Lake! Try going without your in-laws and see if it’s a better experience.
English

@UnderdogNBA Wow. Super impressive. Wilson is unbelievably talented with a really high ceiling.
English

@HandoVinyard Says literally no one with half a brain ever. Like, I don’t mind that you have an opinion, but when your opinion is as ignorant as dirt, you’re just not gonna get a lot of respect from me. Every film you mentioned is rated by everyone else as a top film.
English

@tommyswriting Well said, Tommy. I agree. I think some of the casting decisions are questionable, but every actor who was cast is a high-quality actor who was deserving of the role. While I may not agree with the portrayal, I’m confident the film will be outstanding.
English

I actually agree with Nolan here.
I'm a passionate Homer fan. I've read the Odyssey and the Iliad both 2x in the last year.
While I might disagree with some of the casting decisions out of principle, there are a bunch of raging NPC Conservatives on X who are foot soldier pawns (directed by their great general Elon) in the culture wars, judging the film before they've seen it
maybe it will suck, but I sincerely doubt it based on Nolan's track record
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm
Christopher Nolan says the online backlash to ‘THE ODYSSEY’ comes with the territory. “These conversations that happen before people see the film – they’re always irrelevant. Because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet.” (Source: telegraph.co.uk/films/2026/07/…)

@RobertHerguth @TeeplesCY @grok @Suntimes Yeah, I’m with Clint on this Robert. Your article makes a bold claim without any facts to back it up. Holding up the Catholic Church as the example of how to handle sexual misconduct is a quick way to undermine your argument.
English

@TeeplesCY @grok @Suntimes Hey there, story doesn't say "clergy" ... line is: "the Mormon church doesn’t have anything similar for its members and leaders." Maybe you're not reading what I am, or speaking to who I'm speaking with, but I'm comfortable with characterization of "significant problem." Thanks
English

Hey @grok, @RobertHerguth wrote an article for @Suntimes stating that "sexual misconduct is a significant problem" among Latter-day Saint clergy.
Is it accurate to state that "sexual misconduct is a significant problem" among Latter-day Saint leaders?

@BountifulCougs @utahjazz I’m a byu fan and you’re making byu fans look bad with this horrible, uneducated take. Be patient! You’re making an opinion based on three summer league games!! Re-post a year from now if you still feel this way.
English

Our @utahjazz completely whiffed drafting that selfish Darryn Peterson. Zero desire to play team basketball. Straight up disappointing ball hog tonight. Meanwhile former Cougar AJ Dybansta is a future superstar and absolute STUD. We missed a gem. Hate to say I told you so
English

@utahjazz Welcome, Jaxson!! Don’t listen to the judgmental hypocrites on X. True Jazz fans are happy to watch you continue to grow as a player and a person. Welcome to the best fan base in the NBA!
English

@aliciaandrz This is hurtful and very inaccurate. Your position assumes white people have to earn trust but blacks or other ethnicities don’t. The truth is that humans need to earn and give trust from other humans, irrespective of race. This type of stereotyping creates racial bias & hate.
English

@DrSuneelDhand No question - Utah. Most amazing national parks. Montana would be my second choice.
English

@tbonious_prime @RTNBA @BleacherReport Is it really? A small guard who can’t defend and is nowhere near as good as Brunson. I think it’s a really bad contract. There’s a reason Atlanta moved on from him.
English

@RTNBA @BleacherReport The disrespect fir trae young is just crazy
English

The worst contract in the NBA, per @BleacherReport
1. Joel Embiid: 3-year, $187.9M remaining
2. Trae Young: 4-year, $212.9M remaining
3. Paul George: 2-year, $110.7M remaining
4. De’Aaron Fox: 4-year, $221.7M remaining
5. Devin Booker: 4-year, $250.6M remaining
6. Donovan Mitchell: 5-year, $323M remaining
7. Patrick Williams: 3-year, $54M remaining
8. Christian Braun: 5-year, $125.5M remaining

@WhosMansdisyo @BallTalkO We are not talking about league MVPs, we are talking about the best point guard.
English

@DougRose1232 @BallTalkO Oh yeah 🤔 how many league MVPs yo mans got?
English

This would unironically be the greatest team in NBA history.
Hoops@Hoopss
All time Whites starting 5
English

@SleeperJazz Yes. Same or similar stats but better shooting %s.
English

I’ve watched this video like a hundred times, can’t stop thinking about it… he might be right
TITAN@TemooTitan
Is this the correct way to play defense?
English

@WhosMansdisyo @BallTalkO Uh, no. I absolutely love Nash, but it’s not close. Stockton was generational.
English

@TylerMaynes @BallTalkO Stockton would dominate Brunson. You just told the world you don’t really know ball. Stock is the all-time leader is steals, bro.
English

@BallTalkO Can yall imagine John Stockton trying to guard Jalen Brunson
English

@cheesefries73 “Legacy Mormon” ha, ha!! Get a real job, Cheese fries!!
English

BYU’s selling out LDS values & going against WoW for a measly $800k 😮
As a legacy Mormon, kinda sad to see this 😢
