As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing—I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals.

As someone who's fully paid off my home in Ohio and has no kids in school, why should I keep footing the bill through property taxes? Ohio sold us the lottery back in the '70s as a way to fund schools without relying on property taxes, and it now brings in over $1.4 billion annually for education. Marijuana legalization was another revenue stream pitched to support state needs, yet property taxes keep rising. Your plan to slash property taxes is a step in the right direction, but we need to go further: exempt fully paid-off homeowners without school-aged kids entirely. That way, we reward responsibility and use those alternative funds as intended, without forcing retirees and empty-nesters to subsidize a system they no longer directly use. What do you say?
