The White House and Pentagon are leaking and in some cases publicly stating conflicting information to keep the Iranians guessing as to what our next moves will be. President Trump isn’t going to suddenly end the war without any further strategic gains being made. Deep breaths everyone…

@LordD71862 @Osint613 No, it's a blast for the 'allies' telling them to expect to pony up large for security if they want that Oil. Because he's probably going to control Iran's output for as long as he wants to. New ruler --- new rules.

U.S. President Donald Trump: "We are getting very close to meeting our objectives as we consider winding down our great Military efforts in the Middle East with respect to the Terrorist Regime of Iran: (1) Completely degrading Iranian Missile Capability, Launchers, and everything else pertaining to them. (2) Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base. (3) Eliminating their Navy and Air Force, including Anti Aircraft Weaponry. (4) Never allowing Iran to get even close to Nuclear Capability, and always being in a position where the U.S.A. can quickly and powerfully react to such a situation, should it take place. (5) Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern Allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others. The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it — The United States does not! If asked, we will help these Countries in their Hormuz efforts, but it shouldn’t be necessary once Iran’s threat is eradicated. Importantly, it will be an easy Military Operation for them."

NO FREE RIDES! "The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it — The United States does not!" @historydefined I'm sorry but a GOOD officer would have clarified what that meant. I if I were an American I obviously would never have heard of a sticky situation and would have asked what that meant. As would i think most others. That's an inexcusable assumption error not a language problem.

At the height of the Korean War, a British unit found itself badly outnumbered at the Imjin River. About 600 men of the Gloucestershire Regiment were surrounded by nearly 30,000 Chinese troops. They were cut off on all sides and under constant attack. When the British brigadier reported the situation to his American commander, he used classic British understatement. “Things are a bit sticky, sir,” he said, meaning they were in serious danger. The American general took it to mean the situation was difficult but manageable, and decided no immediate action was needed. As a result, no reinforcements or withdrawal orders were given. The Gloucesters pulled back to a hill overlooking the river and made a final stand. For four days, often without sleep, they held off wave after wave of attackers. Eventually, when they tried to break out, it was too late. More than 500 were captured, 59 were KIA or listed as missing, and only 39 escaped. Two soldiers were awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery. Their stand was later credited with helping save Seoul, but historians later argued the city was probably never in immediate danger and that the unit could have been withdrawn earlier. One senior historian, who had been captured at Imjin himself, said the tragedy came down to a misunderstanding of language. An American officer, he noted, would have said, “All hell is breaking loose.”

@BenWoodfinden Tariffs are NOT bad for both sides. They are great for the US. Bad for Canada. What they truly are is a GST that is solely directed at improving American manufacturing at the expense of non-American manufacturing. Unlike the GST in Canada which just is a tax.

Poilievre went on the world's biggest podcast and for two hours calmly, intelligently and relatably made the case for Canada directly to millions of Americans, many of whom voted for Trump. He explained why we're friends, why the tariffs are bad for both sides, why we'll never be the 51st state, and Poilievre's vision for Canada. Rogan's audience needs to hear this message, and this is exactly the kind of advocacy Canada needs right now.

@nappycooter @Bellagio That’s kind of the point. Vegas has never been the “cheap” option, it’s the premium one. There are still plenty of affordable places in Vegas… just not the center Strip.

Sure… Vegas is “dead.” Meanwhile, inside the Bellagio Conservatory — packed every day. Here’s the reality people don’t want to admit: Vegas didn’t die… it filtered. Post-Covid, they let anyone in just to survive. Cheap rooms, chaos, TikTok fights, people crying about $20 water in the desert. Now? That era’s over. Prices went up. Vibe cleaned up. And the people who can actually afford to be here showed back up. If you think Vegas is dead… you’re probably just not the target customer anymore. And judging by the crowds — they’re perfectly fine with that.

@KirkLubimov Almost completely irrelevant in the final analysis. Canada's problem is structural and cultural. I'm sure PP will NEVER win an election and will be another failed leader. But it's not even his fault. He's trapped in a 'you can't handle the truth' country.

Let's talk Pierre Poilievre's appearance on Joe Rogan's Podcast. > the triggered and perpetually offended will react to it as they do to anything. Nothing new. > most of the Conservatives, especially these who think CPC has a chance & will save them, will think this was a good interview. >the cultists and bootlickers will be gushing over as usual. Nothing new here either. Most of everything Pierre said here he has said many time before in different interviews. He gave nothing for the Left or MSM to be upset with and came out respectable looking. He gave nothing for Conservatives to bite their teeth with hope in as there is a substantial disconnect between what he says and what the Party does. It was a carefully worded not to take it to eitherside walking a tight rope. Took the personality right out of it. Joe Rogan doesn't understand Canadian politics as much and didn't hold his feet to the fire but he did try to get some 'zest' out of Pierre leading him to that place but realized it would be a 'political speak' type of conversation and you could see that on Rogan's face after he tried. Was this a good showing for Canada, however? Yes, and maybe that's all the matters. What are your analysis?

The Shift Has Hit The Fan
Pierre Poilievre just broke the spell. For years the media painted him as some angry, rigid ideologue. One long form Joe Rogan interview later, even CTV’s own panel on Power Play with Vassy Kapelos sat there stunned, saying nothing bad for a full 10 minutes and openly calling him “Prime Minister material.” That’s what happens when people get to see the real guy instead of the 8 second soundbite caricature. Genius move going on Rogan. It’s a shame he didn’t do it during the election... the entire narrative might have collapsed overnight. Long format conversations are kryptonite to the legacy media machine. One honest, unfiltered hour and suddenly the “scary conservative” spell is shattered. The left is going to spend the next week in full meltdown mode trying to glue that spell back together. Too late. The public just got a real look.

@mdt546 Careful what you wish for. Better for PP to be as far from the oncoming debacle as is possible. Canada's fate is now determined by what Trump wants and he doesn't like PP any better than he likes Carney BECAUSE he's only about advantage to America. As he should be.

The cost of living and affordability crises are slowing eating away at Carneys credibility as he continues to slip on those issues and Poilivre begins to gain. It opens the door for Poilievre to make inroads to Carneys overall lead. The polls reflect today’s polling, not tomorrows, and I’m sure Poilievres going to make them tight by next election. Hang on. The election is over by a long shot.

⭕ Kharg Island is the only way for Iran to export oil. 90% of the oil they export goes to China. Taking over or besieging the island prevents Iran from its only route to bring money into its struggling economy. Therefore, pressure on Iran through the island is intended to make it open the Strait of Hormuz.
Raylan Givens@JewishWarrior13

🚨 i24NEWS: The option of a ground invasion of Kharg Island has been raised in discussions within the US administration in recent days. "Everything is possible - and several options are on the table," the source said.

My take so far on Poilievre’s appearance on Rogan (1 hour 30 min in): I think it could shift some American perceptions. You can be sure people in the Trump administration are watching and that Trump will be briefed. Overall, I see it as a win. Poilievre came across as logical and made a clear case that the U.S. and Canada should work more closely together, arguing that Canada is a stronger ally when we cooperate. He wasn’t really speaking to Canadian voters, he was addressing the American public and the current administration.
