I spoke to the graduating class at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan today about the importance of teamwork, relationships and loyalty as they start their careers and make their way in the world. These aren’t just important lessons for graduates - it’s also important for our relationship with the United States as we continue fighting for tariff-free trade between our two great countries, so we can protect workers and jobs on both sides of the border.

@NorrisWinner @DriveTeslaca Also, one time on a damp, cold highway I had to swerve to avoid a merging car and the rear got pretty squirrelly. Pretty sure it was at least partly because I forgot to switch the car to winter tire mode.

@NorrisWinner @DriveTeslaca I have a Long Range Y in Toronto — front motor barely kicks in, and regen is almost all rear. I still run winter tires every year (and update the car setting). Dual motor just feels feels safer on family trips in snowstorms.

CANADA 🇨🇦 FOR THE WIN They’ve done it again. Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, Brendon Rodney and Andre De Grasse win their heat at World Relays in a time of 37.56. Remarkable consistency. They’ve qualified Canada for the world championships next year in Beijing.

Hotel EV Charging is one of the greatest life hacks of road tripping in an EV. This hotel has four 48amp Tesla destination chargers with magic dock. Pulled in with 7% SOC and should be full by the time we leave tomorrow morning. 👍

Impressive! It’s been a long climb to the top in many aspects, but it’s nice to see the results achieved. I wonder how much Tesla’s top-notch crash test and safety scores factor into this? I don’t think that’s a well-known fact, but I hope people look into these figures because they are outstanding. 👏

Here some fast Grok points as well: Yes, international comparisons consistently show Canada (and thus Ontario, despite being its best province) has longer specialist and elective wait times than most peer high-income countries. Key International Benchmarks Here are highlights from reliable sources like the OECD, Commonwealth Fund, and Fraser Institute analyses (data mostly 2023–2025): Specialist appointments (wait >1 month): • Canada: Often ~61–65% of patients. • Switzerland/Germany/Netherlands: ~23–25%. • US: ~27%. Same/next-day appointment when sick: • Canada: 22% (among the lowest). • Netherlands: 47%; Switzerland/Germany: Higher (low double-digits for delays). Non-emergency surgery (wait ≥2 months): • Canada: Highest reported (~58%). • Germany: Much lower (~1% wait >4 months in some surveys); Switzerland/Australia: Significantly better access. Overall median waits (GP referral to treatment, elective/specialist care): • Canada: 28.6 weeks (2025). • Many European systems with universal coverage (e.g., Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland) report much shorter queues, often weeks rather than months, due to higher resource levels (more doctors/beds/MRIs per capita) and mixed public-private delivery. OECD Insights (2024–2025 data) • Median specialist/surgical waits vary widely: As low as ~67 days in some countries (e.g., Sweden/Spain for certain procedures) vs. over 6 months in others like Poland or Chile. • Canada ranks near the bottom among universal systems for timely access, despite high spending. It has fewer physicians, hospital beds, and scanners than the OECD average. US Comparison (Mixed System) • Much shorter waits: Specialist appointments often 3–6 weeks; ER ~24 minutes (vs. Canada ~1.8–2+ hours average). • Trade-off: Higher costs and insurance barriers for some. Bottom line: Countries like Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, and Australia achieve universal or near-universal coverage with notably shorter waits than Canada, often through more resources, competition, or private options alongside public systems. Canada’s waits are among the longest in the developed world for similar systems. Ontario’s 19.2-week median is strong domestically but still lags many international peers. For the latest OECD Health at a Glance or Commonwealth Fund reports, they’re excellent for visuals and country rankings.
