A good indicator that you’re being yourself is a stretched sense of being misunderstood, perpetually. People will Be able to rock with you at some Level in 1 narrow category of your interests, but quickly miscategorize you in the lane of even your own similarity, and then will be left behind or rendered useless in another. Your energetic signature has no copy. Your being has no replica. You are 1 of 1, and if you are “doing you”, your compatibility metrics transcend the surface/material/normal & shift more towards a spiritual system of ‘visibility gradience’. It no longer becomes “are we similar” from external shared interests or specific hobbies, but moreso becomes “can we see each other, and to what degree”, regardless of interest. The surface tactics or activities of the material are placed on the backburner, and the essence of competence, doscernment & calibration gets placed into the crosshairs - and these things transcend any & all domains, because they are present in all of them. It’s no longer “what do we do”, but evolves into “how do we do it”. And those who have “it” and do “it” can identify others that have “it” from miles away

People walk around with an invisible permission structure in their head. They're waiting for someone to let them do the thing. They want a credential, a green light, an authority figure to nod. High-agency people have basically deleted this software. They simply ask "is this possible?" not "is this permitted?" It turns out a staggering amount of what we think is forbidden is just... unattempted.

Being able to destroy something that was built with taxpayer money, then watch it get rebuilt with taxpayer money, while the same people responsible receive funding from that same taxpayer money, is absolutely wild.

My first experience in the mental health system was working in a children's psychiatric hospital for ages 5-9. Large percentage were victims of physical & sexual abuse. They were clearly traumatized. I watched them get drugged up, sedated, & returned back to the abuse. Why is this allowed to happen??

My dad likes to tell the story about how, on his eighteenth birthday, he went back to his car and the local bobby had put a note on his car saying, “Don’t drive home tonight. Happy birthday.” There was a single policeman who covered the entire town, knew everybody and genuinely had their best interests at heart—he considered it a serious failure if he had to get directly involved in people’s lives to discipline and punish them. It’s easier to imagine a magical world inhabited by elves, orca and hairy-footed hobbits than that world of forty years ago.
