@MohitNeuro Interesting question and a great application for LIQ PARTI! We previously ran the original LIQ HD (for singly housed mice) with sucrose in female C57Bl/6J mice, but we have not compared sexes or looked at the effects of group housing. See Figure 2! eneuro.org/content/10/4/E…

We used LIQ PARTI to investigate the influence of sex and housing on ethanol consumption in C57Bl/6J mice. Group-housed females exhibited higher ethanol preference than males, while continuous monitoring revealed a unique undulating pattern of ethanol preference in males.

Our new device accurately tracks the drinking behavior of specific mice by integrating capacitive-based sensors with RFID tracking technology, allowing for the identification of an individual’s drinking behavior while mice are group-housed.
