RealVNC seems to be an unsable pile of steaming shit, and paid, and with a weird licencing model. I have a trial and I am so no extending it. Last time I was using it it was free. What do you lot use for remote access to Linux boxes and such? Is TV worth paying for? I don't need cloud, but I need this to just work 😭

The best Rugby tournament in the world, the Six Nations, would be even better if… It was played over five consecutive weekends. The two rest weeks are a pain-in-the-hole. Loses momentum.

@RFU My brother retired from rugby due to too many concussions, his tackling technique was super low. It's the knees that got him.

@RFU I have 15 years of senior rugby under my belt currently at level 6, hopefully with a few more years to go. I had no interest in retiring until this. Not tackling high is fairly simple, nipple height or sternum I would have accepted, but below waist, mad.

Good afternoon. Tesla lowering prices by $13,000 is going to devastate the company in the long term. Let’s look at the reasons why. For starters, the profit margin on each car is going to plummet, deeply affecting their revenue. Expecting sales to be up, but earnings way down.

@embedded_iot I don't remember specifics, but had similar pain points with an HMI and supported TLS versions. I now out of habit reverse proxy my MQTT broker with NGINX and setup letsencrypt for that. I do this with websockets and regular connections.

Cycle lanes are one step. Education is another. Do bus drivers get educated on how to drive near cyclists? This driver couldn’t wait 5 secs behind me, decided to squeeze me out instead. They can’t possibly know how scary this manoeuvre feels otherwise they wouldn’t do this. 🚏

@DrAaronNeal @laurencyclist @RichmondCycling @London_Cycling But, yes, bus driver was wrong, but, part of driving a two wheeled vehicle on the road - they teach you to read the road, anticipate and evade issues...Put simply, a GOOD cyclist wouldn't have put themselves in the position to be 'squashed' by the bus.

Also... there appears to be no advance road signs for the bus stop in the video. Only thing the driver did right here was indicate to inform cyclist they're getting cut up.

Point is, yes, cyclist didn’t heed appropriate road signs, anticipate they’d passed a bus and likely an upcoming stop, slowed appropriately whilst observing future narrowing and taken advance avoidance. Bus also cut up cyclist.
