Manhattan once again is near the top as it is one of the top 10 places to live in the state of Kansas in 2026, according to U.S. News & World Report (via KAKE). Manhattan might not be a better place to live in than Lawrence, but it’s a fun place to live.

This season’s first Monday Night Football game, Sept. 14, will be the Denver Broncos vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
The game’s site still has not been determined as the NFL still is finalizing its schedule for Thursday’s release.

@DrAlexManners I think we overreaction to starter vs depth. For example, Seattle only had 2 defensive lineman who played more than 50% of their snaps. Take good players. Guys will get hurt, rotate out etc.

Chris Jones is likely going into his final year and I’m not sure if you can’t grab too many good defensive lineman whether tackle or edge. Thought the board was pretty open at 29. Not mad at the pick.

@cdotharrison Dude…. We have more holes this year than last year and we went BACK to the DT position rather than attempted to address the Edge or WR depth issues. This pick by Veach is him admitting he fucked up on ONL. We have too many other issues for this to again be the priority

My theory is only one of NO and KC is interested in moving up, and the other is being used as leverage.

Some draft notes, per sources: • The high trade-up team many are eyeing is the Saints at No. 8. • The Browns have been open to moving down from No. 6. Everyone knows the Cardinals would love to get out of No. 3. • There seem to be several teams in the teens and 20s looking to make small moves up to secure an OL before the run begins. The Lions are one of those teams. • There’s something out there in the air around the NFL—teams feel like something big could happen, but no one can quite get a grasp on it. Should make tonight very fun.
